How to get perfect vision without glasses

Most of us were born with good eyesight and seeing properly comes as naturally to us as breathing, walking , or our heart not missing a beat. We only become conscious of our eyes if something goes wrong and we are no longer able to see as we used to. Our first move is then usually to visit an ophthalmologist who will most probably prescribe glasses. We have been conditioned to the idea that we will probably need to wear glasses as we grow older, so this does not come as a great surprise, although it is a major inconvenience for many people.

The main problem with glasses is that they make the eye lazy. People tend to become absolutely dependent on them in order to see properly, and this keeps the eye from healing itself. Most eye problems are caused because of mental stress and excessive strain on the eyes. But perfect vision without glasses is possible, if you are willing to simply spend a few minutes every day to exercise your eyes and prevent them from straining.

Are glasses the only option for good eyesight?

Can you preserve good vision without glasses?

type=textOur eyes are full of small muscles whose main job is to change the shape of the eyes. Eyes are never completely round. Thanks to the muscles surrounding them, their shape is constantly changing so that they can move around in their sockets and focus on the various things they see. All muscles tend to grow weaker without proper exercise and the same is true for our optical muscles. The reason most people end up wearing glasses or contact lenses is that their eye muscles have grown too weak to change the shape of their eyes.
Although the lens of the eye hardens as we grow older, making it harder for the eye muscles to change the eye's shape, if you get into the habit of exercising and training your optical muscles you may be able to preserve poper vision without the need for glasses.

Tips for perfect vision without glasses

type=textTwo of the most common eye problems are Myopia and Presbyopia; otherwise known as near-and far-sightedness. Both conditions affect our vision and the distance at which we can see things. Both problems can be treated without the need of glasses if we take some time to do so.

Myopia is caused by the eyeballs elongating. It mainly results from focusing on things at a short distance from the eye for long periods of time, which is usually a habit developed during our school years. The eyes like moving and forcing them to look at things which are at the same distance for a long time without relaxing them in between, may damage them.

Presbyopia is the opposite of myopia. We are able to see things at a distance but not close up. Presbyopia is considered to be a natural ailment for people over forty. This is when the eye lens starts to harden, making it more difficult for the eye muscles to change the shape of the eye as needed. But trained muscles are stronger muscles, and they should be able to change the eye's shape no matter how hard the lens becomes with age.

A third common eye problem, astigmatism, is caused by the eyeball losing its rounded shape, causing our vision to become blurry.

All these problems may be avoided by taking some time each day to relax the eyes and let them move around naturally. If your work involves computers or books or whatever forces you to focus at a short distance for long periods of time, take short breaks to look at things far away. If on the contrary, you spend long hours staring in the distance, take a break to read the newspaper.
This way, you will be able to preserve your vision without glasses.
