Walk more to get rid of body fat
We all know that your lifestyle fluctuates, but you are always in control of your fitness, whether you do it at home, on the road, or on your lunch hour, there is ALWAYS time for exercise. I had a sad experience over the weekend. In Louisville KY, there is a celebration called Thunder Over Louisville that is meant to kick off the famed Kentucky Derby Festival. We had to walk about 3/4 of a mile down to where they were showing fireworks that evening, downhill at that. I had two friends with me that aren't exactly fitness nuts.Long story short, they were huffing and puffing within three blocks. I'm not much of a runner, but I couldn't believe they were getting tired from just walking. With today's society that makes me wonder exactly how much walking people actually do. Walking is one of the best ways to get rid of body fat. How can you walk more? Here are a few simple ways.
Park further away
Maybe some people enjoy driving around parking lots looking for parking spots, but I sure don't. Do your body a favor and just take the spots in the back. It's not a ton of walking, but every little bit helps.
Stand up straight and walk correctly
Most people have terrible posture and balance. This causes them to slouch and put their bodies in a position where they walk on their heels. Not only can this cause foot pain, but it is the lazy way to walk. Walking on the balls of your feet is the way they were meant to be used, and it will also burn more calories since the entire leg is engaged this way.
Walk to lunch
I find it incredibly amusing when I see people get in their cars to go to lunch three blocks down the road. Heck I had a neighbor that used to get in her car to get her mail! Amazing. I realize that it may be difficult and uncomfortable for some people to walk these distances, but being lazy about it only compounds the problem. The sooner you start walking more, the better you will feel and the more you will get rid of body fat.

The reason the FDA made it law to put nutritional information on all food packaging is because food manufacturers are evil. They like to disguise their unhealthy food with clever packaging that makes the food look nutritious. Some yogurts, which is allegedly one of the healthiest foods you can ingest, disguise their creations by packaging with words like "all natural." That might sound good, but ask yourself this question. Do you know what pound adding, fat creating monster is naturally occurring? Sugar! Yes sugar is natural.Get in the habit of reading nutrition labels when you're at the grocery. If you're not absolutely sure something is healthy, read. The things to avoid are saturated fats, sugar in excess of 20 grams, sodium in excess of 500mg, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, fructose and trans fat (disguised on food labels as partially hydrogenated soybean or vegetable oil). These are all fat building monsters.
Try to look for foods that are high in protein, unsaturated fat, fiber and vitamins.
If you need a sweet food fix, eat fresh fruit. Our bodies have been conditioned to crave sweet foods over time. Apples, bananas, oranges, strawberries, kiwi, grapes. There are tons of fruits that will fulfill your sweet tooth need.

Eat more frequently to get rid of body fat
No, don't eat more, just eat more frequently. See the problem most unhealthy individuals have is that they space out their meals too far. What happens when you don't eat frequently enough is your body's natural fat burning process (metabolism) sloooooows down so far that you actually start to retain fat. It goes into survival mode because it thinks it needs to store fat for energy. What you want to do is keep that metabolism going. How do you do this?
First, you MUST eat breakfast. Whether you eat a couple of eggs, a bowl of raisin bran, a banana, some toast, or a bowl of oatmeal, just get something in you before you go out the door. What this does it primes your metabolism for the day. If you don't eat breakfast your body is storing fat from hour 1, until you eat lunch, when you then overeat because you didn't eat breakfast. Not a recipe for success.
Your strategy should look like this. A light breakfast (NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT HUNGRY), a light snack a couple of hours before lunch (yogurt, a handful of peanuts, raisins, etc). A light lunch with plenty of protein, a light snack before you leave work, then a healthy dinner. You will find yourself feeling energetic all day because your body will have enough energy to keep going without shutting down to survive. You will also eat less in total because you will never actually get so hungry that you stuff your face until you blow up.
This is one of the easiest changes you can make to get rid of body fat. So much about health is what you put into your body. I've seen the results time and time again.
