Get to Know Your Customers Day

Get to Know Your Customers Day

Did you know that there is a holiday called "Get to Know Your Customers Day"? If you didn't before, now you do! What a wonderful idea!

A great way to turn random shoppers into fiercely loyal customers is to make them feel important. Surely, each one matters to your business. Show them how important they are to you and make each and every one feel like a friend. A happy customer that loves you is a terrific and effective advertising tool that many businesses let slip through their fingers.

Get to Know Your Customers Day happens more than once a year. It happens January 19, April 19, July 19, and October 18. You have no more excuses not to use this special day as a chance to show your appreciation and earn loyal customers. You can have fun with this several times a year!

Take Advantage of Get to Know Your Customers Day on Facebook

Do you have a Facebook Page for your business? If you do, no doubt you have thought about how to engage your fans/readers more effectively.

This special day is too great of an opportunity to pass by! You can have each customer help you to celebrate by entering something about themselves, you can ask just about anything and offer a prize for one of those who answer! Here are some ideas:

- Have them enter the reason why they love your business.
- Have them enter their birthday (year not needed). This is great information as you can send customers a birthday card! Imagine their surprise.
- Ask them to list their favorite hobby. This will help you to see if your fan base may be interested in something you can successfully market.
- Have them list a fun fact about themselves or just anything in general.

The possibilities are endless for using this day to your advantage and having some fun on Facebook. Be sure to offer a small prize to a random winner who takes the time to answer your survey or comment. This will encourage participation, which is what you want!

We used to have a promotional products supplier who would put candy in the box with every order. This little gesture made us so happy!
