Steel Arches And B&R Rig
The cabin roof has been reinforced to accommodate the main traveller. The steel arch concept was initially raising concern amongst the yachting fraternity, however since then the idea has been used in other designs. That's leading the field! The B&R rigging is a tripod support system which provides equal support on three sides for the rigging. This means that the backstay is no longer needed. As the backstay has been removed, so the mainsail can be larger, offer more power. The foresails are tailored smaller, making them more manageable too.
