FreeCycle.org is an awesome ecofriendly site. Basically, it started from the concept of reusing, recycling and reducing waste. Why toss your old TV in a landfill, when someone may save you time and money by taking it off your hands. The types of things you can find here depend on the size of your community. I live in the Hudson Valley, NY group area. There aren't many members here, but I still gotten some great stuff such as an exercise bike, a stair master, an art drafting table and more. Many people don't want to be bothered by selling on ebay or craigslist. They would rather offer their items for free to people that want them.

My sister and two of her friends furnished two apartments with the help of FreeCycle.org. They live in the NYC freecycle.org area and they got some really awesome stuff! Join a group and check them out. Oh, forgot to mention you can also post wanted ads. So, if you need or want something like a printer, drum set or bird cage-post a want ad. You may just have someone willing to give it to you!

Craigslist.com offers a place where people can post stuff they want to get rid of. The amount of items you will find greatly depends on the size of your community. I have checked out the free stuff offered in urban areas like NYC and compared it to my upstate NY message board. I don't think I need to tell you that NYC has a lot more free stuff to offer. You will need to check this message board several times a day. Things go quickly. Hello! The stuff is FREE!!

They also have a place to post wanted ads. Don't be afraid. Take a chance and post your need or want. You may just get it. ;)

I can't even remember how much free stuff I have received just because I am a blogger. If you have a hobby, a favorite show or even love to shop-blog about it. You can get tons of offers from companies that will ship you free products in return for a review and a link to their site.

You can also join some companies that will send you products to review. Companies like payperpost.com and payu2blog.com pay bloggers to write reviews and they even send them free products or services. BzzAgent.com is a free site that will send you free stuff so that you can create a buzz about it. You don't need a blog, but you will probably get more opps having one. You can also use your Twitter and Facebook account to share your reviews. The more ways you can share product information, the greater the chance you will get free products like vacuum cleaners, digital cameras and baby strollers to review.
