What You Need to Get Started

So you want to make money online?

This tutorial will assume you are using Firefox as your primary web browser. If you are still using Internet Explorer, I would recommend you take a long, hard look at your life and seriously consider switching to Firefox. We will touch on the add-ons for Firefox that will make the process of making money online a bit easier.

For starters, you will need to set up an email account (preferably through GMail, they have excellent tools and a totally rad spam filter). Once you set this up and configure it to your liking, we can move on to the next step.

The next thing that you should set up would be an account with PayPal. This is probably the most popular payment method on the internet. You are probably going to want to be able to accept credit card payments as well (in case you REALLY want to start some heavy-duty e-commerce in the future). While you do that, you might also consider getting an account with AlertPay as well, for those instances where your clients do not use PayPal. This gives them an option.

Once you set those accounts up, you will want to follow their steps for connecting your checking account to them. This gives you a way to make secure payments to vendors, and also so you can dump the balance of your PayPal or AlertPay account to your checking account every time you get paid (which I recommend doing...banks are FDIC insured in case something goes wrong, PayPal and AlertPay are not).

Now that you have your email account and payment system set up, I would recommend having a blog. I would HIGHLY recommend going with a paid host rather than a free host, because of the support, stability, and features. One of the best ways that I have found to make some extra cash online would be to use a system such as PayPerPost or SponsoredReviews. I have found that you can make a steady income with these, especially PayPerPost. Of course, your blog must be established and at least a month or so old. It must also contain original content or it will not be accepted into the program. Your best bet is to set up your blog early in your 'make money online' campaign.

There are many other ways to make money with your blog, such as Google AdSense, Market Leverage, or NeverblueAds, but I will save those for a later tutorial.

Ok, let's review. So far we have the following set up:

- Email
- PayPal/AlertPay
- Blog
- PayPerPost system

Now, let's get into the meat of this tutorial. How can you use PayPerPost (or a similar system) to make some money?

Log in to your PPP account. Let's assume you have already submitted your blog and it has been approved. The first thing you want to do is look through the available offers that you can blog about. Often times, the first offer you will be allowed to do has something to do with the company you are using to find these offers.

All you have to do is accept the offer, write the post on your approved blog (being sure to include all images and links required, meet the minimum word count, and post your disclosure statement if necessary). Once you publish your post, you must submit the URL to your PPP provider for approval. Depending on the company, if you meet the requirements for the post, you will receive an email telling you that your post was accepted. DO NOT DELETE THE POST! It must stay active for at least 30 days, upon which it will be re-evaluated and finally given the O.K. for payment. Payment will then be sent to your PayPal account.

Easy, right?

Making money online is a very easy thing to do. Using a program like PayPerPost (which this article is primarily based on) is probably the easiest way to start making money with your blog. It's also a great tool for learning more about writing, which will help you if you decide to get into freelance writing in the future.
