Recommend it to anyone.
Search-and-destroy Antispyware is the best scan that I have used to keep my PC clean and working like new. It's a great scanner that finds all the same bugs that other scans such as Norton can find. What's even better is that it cost less than many of the other options. I'm very happy with this scanner and would recommend it to anyone that wants to protect and care for their PC so it will last as long as possible.

What Are Spywares, Adwares & Malwares? And What Harm Will They Bring To Our Computers?
For the benefit of those who are not quite sure on what spywares, adwares and malwares are, here's my layman explanation on what they are.Spywares are something like computer viruses, they exploit computers for commercial gain - such as displaying annoying pop-up advertisements the moment you have your Internet browser on intermittently, "stealing" your personal information such as credit card numbers for fraudulent activities, or illegally "monitoring" your online activities for marketing purposes without your permission.
Adwares can be considered as close "relatives" to spywares. They are "installed" into our computer without our knowledge, and once installed, they'll show you countless amounts of unwanted pop-up advertisements. As a result, they'll slow down your computer speed, your Internet connection speed (as most of the bandwidth is used by these Adwares to retrieve advertisements)
Malwares, along with Spywares and Adwares, are among one of the biggest threats on the Internet today. They have the ability to hijack your Internet browser, displaying websites on random, redirecting your search results, and display nasty pop-up advertisements.
What Does Anti-Spyware Softwares Do? And How Will They Help Me?
The main function of these anti-spyware softwares is to "protect" your computer from Spywares, Adwares and Malwares.These softwares are designed to protect against the abilities of Spywares, Adwares, Trojans, Viruses as well as malicious programs to enter a computer through email, web browsers, file servers and desktops.
With these softwares, you can keep your computer "clean" from these irritating Spywares, Adwares and Malwares - and therefore you can be save from their attacks such as displaying annoying pop-up advertisements, theft of personal information, slow Internet connection and more (provided you update these software often to protect yourselves against new Spywares, Adwares and Malwares).
How Can I Tell If My Computer Has Been Infected With Spywares, Adwares & Malwares?
If you start experiencing the following when you are using your computer, then it is very likely that your computer has been infected with Spywares, Adwares or Malwares:1. I Keep Getting Pop-Up Advertisements
If you are getting lots of pop-up advertisements (advertisements you'll see are adult advertisements, or websites with objectionable contents) the moment you log onto your computer, then chances are that your computer has been infected.

If you notice that settings such as your default home page in your Internet Browser has been changed (usually to some search pages), and you can't change it back, it is very likely that your computer has been infected with some spywares, adwares or malwares.

If you see toolbars in your Internet browsers that you did not remember installing, chances are your computer has been infected with spywares, adwares or malwares - these malicious programs have the ability to install toolbars onto your Internet browser without your consent and knowledge.
4. My Computer Becomes Very Slow
If you realize that your computer becomes very slow - such as, when you try running an application, it suddenly takes an exceptionally long time to load, or your Internet connection speed suddenly becomes very slow, then there's a great chance that your computer has already been infected with these malicious spywares, adwares and malwares.
5 Tips To Prevent Spyware, Adware & Malware
Here are 5 tips for you to follow to prevent your computer from being infected with Spyware, Adware and Malware:1. Keep Your Windows Software Updated
If you are a Windows user (mac users will not have the problem of Spywares, Adwares and Malwares - as far as I know), make sure you constantly check for any Windows updates by Microsoft.
These Windows updates address security fixes to your Windows Operating System so that it will not be so vulnerable to Spyware, Adware and Malware attacks.
2. Use Computer Firewall Protection
Use of firewalls is one of the most effective ways to block out unwanted Spywares, Adwares and Malwares. Firewalls are barriers set up in your computer to prevent malicious programs from being downloaded without your knowledge and permission when you are on the Internet.

4. Read the EULA Properly Before Installing Any Software
To prevent any Spywares, Adwares and Malwares, one thing you can do when you install any software is to read the EULA very carefully - to make sure that no other softwares are installed (other than the software you intend to install).
5. Install Anti-Spyware Softwares
Get an anti-spyware software installed, and carry out regular scans to detect and delete any Spywares, Adwares or Malwares that may be residing in your computer.
Also, you could update your anti-spyware software often to get the latest updates so as to protect your computer against the latest Spywares, Adwares and Malwares.

NoAdware Anti-Spyware is very user friendly and has one of the cleanest interfaces among all the other anti-spyware softwares that I've used.Scanning of PC was a breeze with NoAdware. It was executed very fast.
Most of the Adwares and Spywares that's present in my computer can be detected by NoAdware Anti-Spyware software.
This is definitely one of the best anti-spyware programs around.
In the paid program, there is a real time shield which can prevent items it detects from ever running on your PC in the first place... Cool!

After its latest upgrade, XoftSpySE Scan has put themselves up another notch.It definitely scans and cleans up Spywares, Adwares and Malwares much faster (compared to its previous versions).

SpywareStop, previously known as SpywareBot, does well in my opinion to detect most of the Spyware and Adware infections in my computer.It also has the ability to also notify you the moment a Spyware application attempts to run on your system.
This is a very useful feature in my opinion - as it will help prevent Spywares from even entering your computer.

5. AdwareAlert
AdwareAlert missed out some of the Spyware and Adware that the rest of the anti-spyware softwares managed to pick up.However, it still does its job well enough.
There is an added advantage of this program over the rest of the anti-spyware program - in that it has an advanced system cleaner that works very well to repair and correct errors caused by Adwares or Spywares and also effectively tweaks your PC for optimal performance.
For this alone, it has completely redeemed its shortcomings.

Excellent and informative lens! I use the free AVG Antivirus Software, free Adaware from Lavasoft and free Spybot Search & Destroy. I just uninstalled Adaware because of apparant compatability issues so will look into your rec's. 5*, faved and lensrolled.

Type of bugs that can damage and ruin my computer.
If you are like me and tired many different scans in the past looking for something that will protect and clean your computer, give Search-and-destroy Antispyware a try. I found that the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy (http://www.Search-and-destroy.com/antispyware.html) is an excellent choice. It's less expensive than many of the other scans I've tired but it finds the same type of bugs that can damage and ruin my computer. I am so happy with this scanner that I want to tell everyone about it so you can give it a try to. I'm sure you will love it.
