Discover how to get in shape!
And stay in shape...
I have a few secrets on how to get in shape. The first secret is you need to make a commitment to yourself and make it a lifestyle change. This is not something you can do then drop it like it's hot. If you do that then you have lost the battle before it ever begins.Secret number two is, make sure you set a day and time that you know you can do it. Finally, decide if you're going to exercise at home or a fitness center. I do both. It's always good to have the option to work out at home in case of bad weather, family issues, car problems or any other inconvenience.
Let's talk about how to be prepared to exercise at home. You will need some equipment, not much really, but I recommend using Power Block dumbbells which are adjustable and are great for reshaping and developing muscle. You will also need an adjustable incline bench. On my blog at www.besthomexercises.com I just posted two step by step super set routines that will show you how to get in shape at home or in the gym. There's also videos that show you how to do each exercise.
One of the best techniques you can do with weights is super sets. The videos below touch upon this briefly, but to add a few benefits: Super sets raise your metabolism which means you will keep burning fat for hours afterward, develops well defined lean muscle, and cuts your workout time in half. The Power Block works great with super sets because you can change the weight quickly; pull out the pin, put the pin in and presto you have another set of dumbells.
If you think weight training is too hard or boring I understand because I used to think that way myself until I did it. Moreover, no matter what your age these techniques will help you to get in shape, and as long as you do them consistently, you'll stay that way.
