Most agent guidelines I come across push the necessity of platforms. Any way around this for an nonfiction author who doesn't have a platform nor a degree?

Thank you!

Greg

Reasons To Write Nonfiction

(Because I'm the mommy, that's why!)

No, seriously. Here they are...
  1. Because nonfiction is easier to sell than other genres.
  2. Because you can have just as much fun writing nonfiction as you can writing fiction or anything else.
  3. Because you can learn how to write and sell nonfiction more quickly than you can learn how to learn how to write and sell other genres.
  4. Because you can write nonfiction and write other genres, as well.
  5. Because everyone is an expert on something! And when you write about your expertise, you are usually writing nonfiction.
  6. Did I mention because I'm the mommy...oh yeah, I did!
