Associated Content

Associated Content is a writer's dream come true. Here's what you do:

1. Think about a topic you are passionate about. It can be pets, video games, cooking, parenting, gadgets - you name it.

2. Write about this topic. Tell readers about the top three ways they can get their toddler to stop crying, or rave about your favorite newly-released video game. Keep articles around 400 to 500 words.

3. Submit the article to Associated Content for upfront payment. A human editor will view your article and determine how much they want to pay for it. In most cases, you'll get paid $3 to $5 for each submission.

4. Get paid each time your article gets viewed. Associated Content pays $1.50 to $2.00 for every 1,000 views your articles receive. So Twitter your writings. Paste them on your Facebook wall. Send them to all your friends and get paid writing!

Bukisa

Bukisa is an Israel-based performance payment website. They pay around $3.00 to $3.50 for every 1,000 views your articles receive. This pay-per-view price is one of the highest on the web!

Bukisa accepts international writers, where many other sites accept only United States-based writers.

Writers make a lot of money on Bukisa writing about news events. The Tiger Woods Scandal, Erin Andrews peephole videos and similar celebrity and society blunders spill blood in the streets and make ka-ching sounds in a writer's account.

Helium

Helium is a great starting point for beginning writers. Helium has a set of pre-written article titles, which writers use as titles for their own articles. Submit writings under search engine friendly titles and maximize the pay-per-view revenue.

Helium is also a ratings-based site. The better star ratings readers give your articles, the more money you make. Some writers can even qualify for bonus article payments just for getting high ratings.

Xomba

Xomba pays writers based on ad revenue. Writers must create their own Google AdSense account to make money posting on Xomba.

Xomba editors suggest posting three to five articles per day. Unlike guidelines at other sites, Xomba has a pretty low word limit for articles - you can post bookmarks, which are just links to other web pages with 50 words of text describing why readers should read an article. When your readers click on ads near the bookmark, you get paid.

Of course, Xomba also offers writers the ability to post full articles, though they only have to be 150 words or more. Again, the more clicks your ads receive, the more money you make.

Xomba also has a referral program. Referrals earn Xomba writers 10% of Xomba's portion of ad income each time the referred writer's articles are viewed.

Writers are paid through Google AdSense, not Xomba.com.

Article Income

Article Income's network contains many advertisers that pay you for placing contextual ads next to your articles. The advertisers pay writers directly - Article Income is just the portal that hosts your articles.

Article Income pays writers 50% of the ad share from ads clicked. Thus, it's split equally between you and Article Income.

Writers can submit articles on pretty much any topic. The more popular the topic, the more likely readers are to click your article.

Constant-Content

Constant-Content is a totally different beast from the above websites. Writers submit articles, put a price on them, and put them up for sale.

Designate a licensed usage price, or allow buyers to purchase exclusive rights to articles. Some writers make up to $70 on one article!

Sometimes clients will post assignments for writers to bid on. If their article is accepted, the writer makes the upfront price of the article.

Constant-Content creators can also refer other writers and make a percentage of each article sold.

Suite101

Suite101 is another Google AdSense-based revenue site. However, it has such a prominent existence online, writers often make thousands of dollars per month by submitting many articles.

Writers don't have to sign up for Google AdSense with Suite101 as they do on other AdSense-based sites. Google AdSense reports clicks to Suite101, who then adds your share of revenue to your balance.

How-to articles flourish on Suite101.com, so if you like writing tutorials, this is the perfect place for you!

Blogger

Like to blog? Hate working for other people? Really don' t like the idea of having all your articles edited by a human editor?

Then sign up with a free blog on blogger.com and get blogging already! Generate traffic to your site and install your own AdSense ads alongside your articles. You get to keep 100% of the revenue - no sharing it with a hosting company or article directory.

Plus, you get to write about whatever you want on your own blog. No word limits, no image requirements. You control your earning potential.

London Brokers

London Brokers screens all writers before accepting them. Potential writers must take an English test before getting accepted into the writer pool.

You don't have to live in the United States to write for London Brokers, but you must have very good English and grammar. Their grammar test will verify your skills.

When you pick an assignment from London Brokers, you write the article once and rewrite it twice for a total of three articles. Third-party clients place orders at London Brokers, and London Brokers gives you the necessary details.

London Brokers articles are heavily keyword-based. You'll receive video tutorial training if you get accepted.

Demand Studios

Demand Studios owns eHow.com and distributes articles to LiveStrong.com, Answerbag.com, Garden Guide, Trails, GolfLink and more.

Potential writers must submit a résumé and writing samples to qualify for work at Demand Studios. After passing this preliminary screening, writers are required to read several editorial materials to learn how to properly write each assignment format.

Working for Demand Studios is rewarding, however. Many people make a full-time income there, as there are over 200,000 writing assignments available at any given time. Article assignments range from $3 to $15 apiece.
