1. To reduce stomach fat, you need isometric tension
For that, nothing is better than the "sucking in" of the vacuum pose. This exercise all by itself can help you to lose 2-3 inches from your waist in 3-4 weeks when you do it from 5 to 15 minutes each day.
The key part is the tension when you suck in your LOWER belly... the part around your belly button. From there, you repeatedly hold the belly tightened pose for more than 15 seconds at a time. Like I said above, do this for 5 or more minutes each day and you'll lose quite a few inches quickly.
2. Use an ab wheel

Now I have seen and will admit, even tried some of the cheap belts that were floating around. I figured why not give it a try, but never really got results. I could feel a little something but not much.

Cardio or Weight Training Where to Start!
The quickest way to start shedding those extra pounds.
The first thing you need to ask yourself is, what do I like to do for physical activity? There are some peope who love to do Cardio work and hate weights and then others that go the opposite way, they love weights and hate cardio. So one of the best places to start is with what YOU like to do best. Don't let some "fitness guru" try to tell you where you need to start. As long as you are doing something positive to change your health then you are on the right path. This does not however mean you can get maximum results this way. This is just a starting point for you.
The next step is going to be your eating habits. There are a lot of diet plans and it can be hard to choose which is right for you. Just like training, different people like different diets. Some do well with low fat diets while others do better with low carb plans. If you have no idea what works best for you a well balanced diet is the way to start. You can try cutting fats or carbs as you progress. As a general rule low fat foods will have more carbs and vice versa. This is more for processed foods. If you see a low fat cookie for example, there are more carbs in the form of sugars. Low sugar cookies have more carbs and artificial sweetners. Never trust the title, always read the full label.
So there is a very basic starting point. Begin doing something physical and adjust the way you eat. This is NOT all there is but just a starting point. Some people can just jump in a strict diet and exercize program and they will really do well but, there are many that need o take baby steps. This is especially true if you have not done anything for a long period of time. As you get more comfortable with your training routine and eating habits, you adjust and tweak. I will go further in to this in another module in the near future.
Until then get yourself started, thats truly the hardest part.

Kick Up Your Kickboxing Workout
Want to Have that Fighters Body?
OK, So you have all seen the commercials and videos. Kickboxing will get you the ultimate body or Burn more calories then any other workout. Like any workout there are variables that people seem to leave out. I am going to go over some of the reasons Kickboxing may not be working for you.One of the biggest things you need to realize is that most Cardio Kickboxing programs are nothing but, Glorified Aerobics classes. Some may disagree and Not all are that way but most are. The Reason, so many people wanted to jump on the bandwagon because there was money in it. This is also why many Cardio Kickboxing programs have come and gone. In my personal opinion, unless you are training with a legit martial artist( Kickboxer,Karate, Kung Fu etc.) Your kickboxing workout will not be getting the best workout you can. Argue as some might but if you do not know how to throw the kicks and punches you have no business teaching others to do it. And, no weekend course by a personal training organization will change that. Bottom line is it is actually dangerous trying to do some of these kicks and punches if ou do not know the form.
That being said the second reason your Kickboxing workout may not be getting you the results you want, your not hitting anything. Now I am not talking about beating other people up or actual fighting. What I am talking about is bag work, focus mitt work and kicking shield work. These targets will add intensity as well as resistance. Intensitiy IS what makes a fighter and therefore a fighters body. What you need to do is go all out the whole class. Aerobics tends to pace you so you will not get the same workout. One of the biggest comments I get after a class from people is" When does it get easier". My answer, NEVER, If it gets easier then I am not doing my job. My job as the Trainer is to push you to your limits.This does not mean I need to over work someone, it just means pushing people. If you depend on the beat of a song, you have no way to push people as hard as they can go. Most people tend to kick and punch harder when a target is in front of them so that is why some type of pads are needed to ramp up the workout.
Another thing I am a firm believer in is cross training. I ad full body resistance work to EVERY class. Building muscle will burn more fat so I think a huge key is adding some resistance training (push ups, sit ups, Squats, etc.) I am always looking for new ways to work different body parts in a class. These exercises also break up the class and keep people interested.
Now if you are a big fan of aerobics, I am not knocking it. All I am saying is if you want a fighters body or to burn the calories a fighter does, you need to train like a fighter.
