Getting Pregnant Over 45-Is It "Desperation" Time Yet?

Any attempts at getting pregnant over 45 may seem so hopeless. The reality is many women still have the ability to conceive a child even at this late stage of their reproductive life.

Most women have only about 1,000 eggs in their ovaries by the time they hit the age of 50. It's hard to imagine that a newborn girl has 1 million eggs.

Time certainly does take its toll on all of us whether we like it or not!.

Does that mean getting pregnant over 45 is impossible. Not at all!

Your doctor may not be very encouraging but the resiliency of the human body is truly amazing at times. The main thing is to keep a positive attitude and be open to every possible treatment option at this point!

If I'm over 45 what are the odds of me getting pregnant?

Inspite of all those things women over 45 can and do get pregnant all the time!.

At this point, you have no choice about certain matters.

If you smoke, it's time to quit. No ifs, ands or buts about it. You know you should have done it years ago anyway.

With all the hazardous chemicals and additives in our foods a change in diet is absolutely critical.

Stress is one of the biggest factors if you are taking control of your fertility at this stage of life.

While younger women may have the same stress factors their bodies are obviously are more fertile. They can handle the stress and still get pregnant.

Getting pregnant with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or Ovarian Cysts.

One obstetrician in London was quoted as saying "The notion that all women over 40 have problems conceiving and suffer complications during pregnancy is just not true. The women who tend to have complications are those who smoke, drink alcohol, rarely exercise, have pre-existing medical conditions or who don't look after their general health particularly well."

You probably noticed the words "pre-existing conditions" in the above statement. PCOS and Ovarian Cysts are a serious problem for women at any age. When you turn 45 and want to get pregnant it just makes matters worse.

The unfortunate reality is that you could be doing everything else the right way and still have trouble conceiving.

You may be wondering "will clomid really help me get pregnant at 44" or 45? The answer to that is: it just depends.

Many women may feel like they don't have a choice and rush into surgery to eliminate the cysts. There are still holistic, natural approaches that have been proven to work time and time again.

Getting pregnant with ovarian cysts is always a challenge at any age. The simple truth is you don't have time to play games with the disorder when you are in your mid forties.

I'm over 45 and I know that getting pregnant really is possible...

The maternal urge never seems to go away does it? What would our lives be without children?

Inspite of all the problems and heart aches that they often bring the world is better because of them.

After all, we were once children too. Keep the faith and remember that "hope REALLY does spring eternal".

If you really believe things can happen they seem to have a way of happening. Believing that they can happen is the first step to any successful dream!
