If you are a woman who is interested in getting pregnant, learning about your reproductive health is a crucial first step in your journey towards pregnancy. Click here for a FREE report for visiting my lens

Knowing Your Body

A woman's reproductive system plays a major role in her chance of getting pregnant. And because each part of a woman's reproductive system has its own unique role in getting pregnant, it is important for women to know what these functions are when looking for help getting pregnant.

Changes in a woman's reproductive system, such as menstrual cycle changes, can be indicators of fertility problems which can reduce a woman's chances of conceiving.

Learning about one's ability to get pregnant changes as she gets older and also about the chances of getting pregnant if you are underweight is important.

Hindrances

Women who suffer from depression are twice as likely to have problems with fertility as women who don't. What's more, a few studies have indicated that excessive consumption of caffeine (that is, more than three cups of drip coffee per day) may contribute to fertility problems. The causes of infertility can be considered as follows:

Ovulation problems 10-15%
Tubal blockage or endometriosis 30-40%,
Male (sperm) problems 30-40%,
Unexplained 15-20%.

Research shows that too much caffeine can reduce your ability to absorb iron and increase your risk for stillbirth. Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate, a B vitamin that can help reduce the risk of serious birth defects that affect the brain and spinal cord.

Conclusion

Couples who are together in this difficult stage are more likely to succeed than couples where guys are less helpful. Overall, around 70% of couples will have conceived by 6 months, 85% by 12 months and 95% will be pregnant after 2 years of trying.

Remember that time passes slowly when you are waiting, but many couples who experience infertility do succeed in having their longed-for baby, especially in light of the ongoing advances in infertility treatments.

Many couples that are going through unsuccessful efforts of trying to conceive and the sometimes painful and exhausting fertility treatments often find that they are having trouble remembering why they wanted to conceive with each other in the first place.

I wish you couples luck getting pregnant!
