How To Get Better Gas Mileage
Here are ways to increase your fuel ecomomy and get better gas mileage out of your vehicle. There are many ways to increase your fuel economy and gas mileage. It all starts with the air going into your engine.
1. Make sure your air filter is clean and there is no blockages so more air is entering your engine. Your engine runs a lot better with more air so you achieve better fuel economy and you are getting better gas mileage.
2. A K&N Filter or Cold Air Intake. A K$N filter replaces your stock paper air filter and air flows the filter much easier than your stock one. Most parts stores can get them for around $50 but it is well worth it by getting better gas mileage. A Cold Air Intake replaces your stock tubing and filter going to your throttle body. The design if the tubing makes the air flow easier. These should cost you around $200-$300 but you should get 2-5 mpg so this is a must if you want better gas mileage and performance.
3. Keep your foot out of the pedal. Slow down at stop signs earlier and dont accelerate to fast. This is key to getting better gas mileage.
4. Keep your car running right. Your 02 sensors play a major part in your gas mileage especially in newer cars. Make sure they are running right. Also make sure you do a tune-up occasionally because your engine will run better and you will get better gas mileage.
5. Run your car on water. This is by far the best way to dramaticlly get better gas mileage. You dont run your car purely on water. You are replacing some of the fuel you use with HHO. You can save up to %40 on your fuel costs and combined with the steps mentioned above should get you a lot better gas mileage. - I have the same K&N also and love it, I could have found it a little cheaper on ebay, but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it at here. K&N 57-3050, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.
