Here's One Of The Best Tips On Getting Pregnant

Too Much Sex Won't Get You Pregnant

So, you're looking for some of the best tips on getting pregnant, right? OK, if you want to get pregnant, have a lot of sex right? I'm not even talking about when is the right time (we'll save that for another discussion), I mean how often?

Many people think, more times, means more chances, and they strive for 3x a day if possible. (I said strive for, I don't think too many accomplish this!!)

Studies show, this can actually do more harm than good. Frequent ejaculation can reduce the concentration of sperm, making it less potent, so to speak. And if your partner has a low sperm count (which you may not even know), this can have disastrous effects.

So, this is one of the best tips on getting pregnant. Less is more. But not too much less. There's also a problem if you wait too long in between encounters.

It is not a good idea to have your partner "save it up" until you are ovulating so it will be more potent. The fact is, the sperm get stale and actually need to be flushed out every few days.

So ideally, once you've established the "window of opportunity", it's best to "try" no more than once a day or every other day. This frequency schedule will optimize your chances for success.

Here's Another One Of My Best Tips On Getting Pregnant

Know Exactly When You Are Fertile

Do you want another one of my best tips on getting pregnant? OK, here it is...you must know when you are most fertile. The window of opportunity each month is quite small, so you have to be very in tune with your own monthly cycle. It is different for all women, and you should never assume that you ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, which is what many women think.

A typical monthly cycle can range form 26-35 days, and this greatly effects what time of the month you ovulate, and therefore when you are most fertile. The absolute best way to get in tune with your personal cycle is to use BBT charting. This means using a basal body thermometer to chart your temperature each morning before you get out of bed. There will be slight variations, with an obvious temperature increase right after you ovulate. If you do BBT charting for a few months, you will have a new awareness of when you typically ovulate, plus you will always be able to check when you have ovulated from seeing the temperature rise.

Once you have a fairly good idea of what time of the month you generally ovulate, you can time intercourse starting a few days before the expected date, so that you will optimize your chances of conception. Sperm can live for several days inside a woman's body, so it is best to have them waiting there a few days before you actually ovulate. Once you see the temperature rise on your BBT chart, you know you have already ovulated and don't need to have intercourse on the days following ovulation (unless you want to just for fun!!)

In addition to BBT charting, ovulation predictor kits can be useful in figuring out your ovulation date, but these shouldn't be used until you have a general idea (from charting) about what time of the month you are expected to ovulate. Otherwise it can get very expensive, as most ovulation predictor kits only give you 5 test sticks, and you will likely run out before you ovulate if you don't have a good idea when to start testing.

I hope you find this information useful and agree it is one of the best tips on getting pregnant.
