The adult bed bugs can be mistaken as cockroaches or ticks, as they are almost a ΒΌ inch in length having hard and flat bodies. These insects are able to move swiftly in ceiling, floors, walls and all kinds of surfaces but they can not fly. A female bed bug can lay around 500 eggs during their lifespan.
After the hatching of eggs, the baby bugs can fully develop very fast. Their development time can vary in cool areas or areas where there is no supply of blood. The baby bugs can live for several months without having their dose of blood, where as adults can live for a year in such conditions.
They can get into your home in a lot of ways an if you are not careful in early enough they will spread everywhere they can get hide and get their supply of blood. It can be your mattresses or floor, ceiling or furniture. They can even get in the luggage of people who travel frequently and then spread along with their luggage or beddings. A lot of people carry bed bugs home unknowingly.
