It's not easy getting rid of scabies.....
Getting rid of scabies for good is not easy. If one part of the procedure is missed out, they will return. We actually missed out two things on our first attempt of getting rid of scabies. I hasten to add this was on the advice of our doctor ! In this lens I go over how we got rid of scabies. The thing to bear in mind aswell, is how fast they can spread. They breed at a fast rate - a female can lay up to 3 eggs per day ! Within a week those eggs have become mites. Not suprisingly, it does not take long for a person to become infested with the scabie mites.
When my son had scabies, I took him to our doctor who looked at his skin through a microscope and sent me away with some cream. He told me that I didn't need to treat bedding, clothes etc. After I had used the first treatment on my son and the scabies had come back I researched into the 'cream', I was alarmed at what I found and I didn't use it again - I went the natural way and did the job properly. I am sure that I did it properly because we were successful in getting rid of scabies.

One Treatment is not Enough

The eggs can get left behind with the first treatment and after a few days those same eggs will hatch into larvae. A few days after that the larvae becomes the mites, giving you the problem all over again. Therefore, it is vital that a second treatment is done to ensure that the scabies are eliminated. This is a common mistake made by many people who are looking at getting rid of scabies, they only do one treatment and the scabies return and the whole process has to be done again. The first treatment will not have had any real benefit.
Get rid of the scabies first time, treat everyone once and then wait between 7 and 10 days and treat again.

Treat Everyone

Anyone who has come into contact, that's skin-to-skin contact, with the infected person must be treated to prevent re-infestation. All family members living in the same household most definitely need treating. Then it's a case of working out who else has been in close contact. Think about this carefully.
Close skin contact is needed for example a quick handshake probably would not be enough to pass them on, but a prolonged handshake would. I know that it's a hard subject to approach with people particularly if they are not family members but you do run the risk of being infected again if not. This is a risk that you may choose to take - I will leave this decision in your hands.
