It's amazing how Aamir khan and the crew have turned the tables over with a remake of a Tamil movie ( I'll repeat 'with a remake of a Tamil movie?'). The reason, actually there are many.
Aamir is a great actor and well known for his ability project a vivid picture of a character so that it'll be carved into your subconscious for a very long period.
There is another least talked about reason. The music director for theTamil version of the movie was Harris Jeyaraj who used to be a student of A.R. Rahman few years back. Incidently the music directior for the Hindi Ghajini is A.R.Rahman. It is inevitable that there will be comparisons and popularity polls around to compare the master and the student. Not to mention the Harris Jeyaraj has produced some scoring tunes which had already rivaled the master.
All the reasons aside, this is one hell of a movie you can't afford to miss!!!

The Bollywood has been taken by storm again. The cause this time Amir khan's Ghajini. It's amazing how little has been talked about the movie being a remake of the Tamil version. Nevertheless the movie has been a big hit in India and around the world amongst bollywood fans.
The major factor for the huge success of the remake is the combination of high profile bollywood star Amir khan and the ever popular music director A.R.Rahman. Now, the music plays a big role in Indian movies. A couple of memorable melodies are an essential ingredient for a movie to become a super hit block buster. The storyline is one of the best and very well stands out from the conventional Indian movies.
Summary is as follows.
Storyline :One of the best.
Performance :Amir khan is an actor who shares the throne of bollywood along with Sharukh khan
He never fails to deliver!
Music :A.R. Rahman is the no.1 composer for movies in India and he has provided some
wonderful rhythms to go with the both the above.

Overall Ghajini is right up there with Amir khan's previous super hits but this one might go a step further because of the movie being a remake of the Tamil version, fans have something to compare the performances with and gives an edge over the other titles.

I know the question hugely depends on the fact that 'who would've been the alternative?'. But I firmly believe that Amir khan was the major fact in Ghajini getting so much media attraction.
