Our cat used to play with a girl (astral/spirit) that lived in our house until we helped her to find her own family. I am sure he misses her as they used to play together very often. Thank you for sharing all the stories.

Love your lens! I'd never heard of the backpacking kitty before. Have you ever read the Norton books (another traveling cat)?
  • EMangl Oct 9, 2011 @ 5:01 am | delete
The Piano cat i knew, backpacking cat was new - i would not mind to "walk" such long distances if he carries me too :-)
You have a very entertaining way to write, was a good time having a coffee and reading

You should start up your own blog, Lady Ghost Whispurr, and join us in the cat blogging community! ;) It was lovely getting to know you and your story.

The ghostwriter for Woolly Bear and the other Persimews here... We love your lens :) Have you ever tried Sheba or Whiskas? Personally, homemade roast chicken wins every time, especially when it comes with gravy =^@@^=

What a touching lens and an inspiration for anyone who wants to take in a stray cat but is concerned. Both my own cats were rejects one stray and one Golden Oldie. It is very rewarding to take in an animal in need. We owe a lot to those who take in many and find them homes. Thanks for a great lens

I've had a wonderful time getting to know you Ghost. It was so interesting to read about how purring heals - I have said for many years that there is nothing that cannot be cured by the application of one warm purring kitty. My white cat, Pearl, is deaf and psychic. She concurs that you are quite correct about cats as familiars and your close links to the astral. In fact, she spends more time in the astral than in the mundane. Quite easy when you are not distracted by "noise" - whatever that is. She insists that I give this lens a blessing now that I am a Squid Angel. I must say - yours is the first lens she has ever chosen for that honor. Blessings it is.

Adorable lens and Lady Ghost Whispurr is so cute! A lot of work has gone into this lens. It's visually appealing! Well written too, needless to mention.

What a great lens, and I too love the voice of the writer. Beautifully done with pictures and stories. Cats are wonderful creatures and they do need an advocate too.

What an adorable series of stories, and Lady Ghost Whispurr told them so well. Truly she must be a very intelligent member of her species. Don't you feel lucky to live with her and to have been her Ghostwriter? I hope Lady Ghost will return with more stories soon.

I LOVE stories told from the animal's point of view. A really terrific lens.

Now that I'm a Squid Angel, I simply can't resist leaving an ~*~* Angel Blessing *~*~ for this most remarkable and beautiful cat.

A fine lens. Thank you for sharing. You should meet Harry and Lloyd (brothers) and Neko. They're the cats who own my daughter. Harry and Lloyd have their own blog, and Neko does some guest posts.

This lens was highly recommended by BevsPaper on Squidoo Lens Reviews, and I can see why. Beautiful work and full of moving stories and interesting facts. You truly are a remarkable cat, and I was touched by the great courage of Scarlett and her kittens.
  • jptanabe Apr 13, 2010 @ 12:13 pm | delete
Thank you for all your insights Lady Ghost Whispurr. I think you would find my cats are in agreement with you on many things. Although my "Mister" cat does believe that its fine to go outside when that cold white stuff is everywhere, but my other two prefer to watch it from their warm spots inside.
  • GrowWear Apr 13, 2010 @ 10:45 am | delete
Lady Ghost Whispurr, it is so nice to meet you. Recently read another theory about purring -- that it may be a location device for the baby kittens so they know where mom is. I know that you know if that is true or not. :)
  • kimmanleyort Apr 13, 2010 @ 8:33 am | delete
You are a very wise cat, Lady Ghost Whispurrr. Grannysage is lucky to have you and I thank her for sharing your story.

Don't worry yourself about a little bit of amnesia. Just forget it. Take a nap.
  • naturegirl7 Mar 22, 2010 @ 2:28 pm | delete
What a wonderful lens! The 3 felines that share their house with us would agree on most points. I really loved the stories about the hero cats. It was sad to hear that Scarlett had passed on, but I was glad that she had a long happy life. Lens rolling to Blaze's, Star Noir's and Dax's lenses.

What a fun lens. :) I have a gallery cat who also writes (on my blog) occasionally. Indeed he is on the back of my chair demanding attention this very moment. He too has his own lens.

I love all the stories and photos. Nice job! 5*
