Ghost Story Collections

This happened over 20 years ago, I had just put my kids to bed and had friends round, we all decided to do the Ouija board as we didn't believe it was true. We made the board ourselves and got a glass from the kitchen and got some candles then turned the light out, then we started to ask questions and all the board kept spelling was "bronwyn" which I believe to be either a witch or a welsh woman.

After three times of asking who the spirit was we asked the spirit to show itself but it never showed itself then everyone in the room was getting edgy and scared so we decided to stop that's when the trouble began. The glass wouldn't break. I kept screaming at my then boyfriend to break the glass but it wouldn't smash no matter how hard it was thrown at the wall it still wouldn't smash and I read the first thing the devil sees it will take.

I went upstairs with my friend and got the kids then I sent my boyfriend and his mate to get the vicar and myself, and the rest stayed at home. I wouldn't let anyone leave the house then about 5 - 10 minutes later my partner and his mate returned with the vicar. He did what he had to do and he wasn't best pleased with us and he said "if you want to see what can really happen I will show you in a controlled environment" that's when we all said no.

I recently lost my daughter and husband and I think it has something to do with the board so please stay away from them they are terrible things

I was staying at my dads house one night. I went to my room closed the door and went to sleep it was all quiet until I heard someone walking up stairs. I thought it was my dad but I knew he was asleep because I could hear him snoring so I thought it was one of the dogs but I could hear my dog Redge snoring (yes my dog snores like mad he's worse then my dad) and my other dog Cindy was sleeping with me and I looked down and she was asleep under the bed. I tried to go back to sleep then the steps were getting faster like someone was running up the stairs and I knew the door was locked because I had locked it my self before I went to bed. The sliding door at the top of the stairs were shut too.

All of a sudden the foot steps seemed to be walking to my room and I didn't hear the sliding door open or close which is weird because it was a very loud door. I started freaking out and was just saying to myself 'its all in your head' even though I didn't believe it. I put the blankets over my head and closed my eyes tight I didn't move I didn't even breath.

The footsteps seemed to be in my room and the door didn't open or shut either I was almost in tears it seemed like the footprints had run to my bed and I could hear heavy breathing right beside me I almost pissed my self. I wanted to scream out to my dad but I was too scared. Then it left. I heard the foot prints leave my room but I didn't hear them go down the stairs or nothing it just stopped.

With my eyes still closed and the blankets still on me I reached up as fast as I could and turned the light on. My bedroom door was open. I looked out of my room and I could see Redge asleep on the floor and I could still hear my dad snoring heavily.

I didn't sleep for the rest of the night I was too scared. In the morning I went down stairs and the door was still locked. I asked my dad if he had gotten up to go check that the door was locked or something last night and he said no. I didn't tell him what happened but I knew it was real. When it happened I could feel my self wide awake and it still puzzled me. If someone broke in I should've heard the doors open and close and nothing was missing and the footsteps wouldn't of just disappeared like that and why did it come into my room? My dad still lives in the same house and still sometimes weird things happen and I always sleep with the TV turned on just in case.

Halloween is not the only time a cool costume would be good to have. There are many events and occasions which can be a lot more fun with a costume. How up at a birthday party for a child as a clown or their favorite character. Show up on your anniversary in something cute or sexy! Costumes give you an alter ego and can even spice up a romance!

Every ghost fanatic has heard of Mary Worth, also known as Bloody Mary. But when I was in elementary school, she was an entirely different story.

At one of my friend's sleepover, we played Truth or Dare. My friend dared me to play the Bloody Mary game in the fifth-grade bathroom at school on Monday. Of course, I accepted the dare, but they had to come, too, so they were sure I followed through. and yet, I had a bad feeling about this dare.

The fifth-grade bathroom had a bad reputation. If you went in, you could see blood in the corners of the mirror and the word "Bloody-Mary" plastered on one of the stall walls. Some say that a fight went on in that bathroom between her and a third-grader. The little girl didn't come back.

On Monday, two of my friends and I left during lunch and snuck into the bathroom. Jordyn had brought seven candles from home. We lit the candles and sat down in the middle of the floor. Allison's back was closest to the door, Jordyn's back was facing the large window, and my back was to the stalls.

We joined hands and closed our eyes. "Bloody Mary, if you are here with us, show us a sign," I said as the others chanted "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary." I heard the sink's faucet start to drip fast. I could feel my heart start to race, and the stall doors slammed in rhythm with it. I couldn't open my eyes, I couldn't feel my legs, and I couldn't break the circle we had formed.

In my head, I suddenly saw her. She didn't look anything I had expected her to. In all the legends, she had been a woman with long, dark, bloody hair and scars all over her. Instead, I saw a tween with blond, scruffy hair that went to her ankles. Her skin was flawless, with not a scar in sight. Mary was beautiful.

She shrieked, "You have awakened me! And for what reason?! A dare! You must be terrified. And you should be! If I wanted to, I could kill you right now! Instead, I will curse you. Anytime I hear you say my name, you will be under my complete control for an entire day!"

"After the time is up, you will be completely unaware of what happened," Mary continued. "If you say my name three times from this time onward, I can possess you at any place, at any time. You will be ruined! When I bring you out of this, you won't tell anyone of what has happened to you. You have been warned."

Mary vanished. My eyes shot open, and I fell backward. My head slammed against the stall door, and I hit the floor hard. Very hard. I was knocked out.

I woke up in the hospital. Allison and Jordyn were there, and when they saw me wake up, they ran to my side. Jordyn whispered to me, "In the middle of the ritual, you fell and hit your head. You had a concussion. You started telling us all this mumbo jumbo about a curse. You had us worried sick."

We never spoke of that day again. But Jordyn and Allison were wrong. She was there, and it was very, very real. I know I have been possessed once since that day. In the hospital. My mother grounded me for attacking the doctor. But it wasn't me.

Bloody Mary isn't just some urban legend. She is a curse to mankind. So don't put yourself in my situation. Don't summon Bloody Mary. It could be the difference between life and death for you.

Ghost stories are often more scary when it's told during Halloween. If you are a believer chances are you will dress up in costumes for Halloween this season. Other non believer can also celebrate but usually dress up in more appealing attire such as sexy vampires costumes or sexy goddess costumes.

I was having a sleep over at my best friend's house and it was the first time I had ever been there. When I got there we went straight back to her bedroom and started playing the stereo loud enough to drown out everything else in her house and we just sat on the floor and talked. Then she told me about her house being "haunted." I didn't believe her because the story she had told me was that when she broke her arm and had to stay home she saw a ghost walk across the kitchen floor and out the front door. This story didn't convince me because I figured that she probably was taking pain killers of some sort when it happened so she may have been seeing things.

Later on she called her cousin to come over and so he came and brought his brother with him, who is the same age as we were. Then she told them to tell me about the ghost they saw in her basement which convinced me a little more, but not much.

After they left we went into the living room and watched TV but when she went to get us some pizza from the kitchen I felt like I was being watched so I turned around and I saw a man's face outside the window of the door that I was sitting next to. Well , that was weird, maybe it was reflection. I told my friend about it so we ate our pizza in her room instead and watched a movie until we fell asleep.

Then, something poked me in the ribs. Assuming it was my friend I smacked her only to realize that her hands were under her pillow and I had just woke her up. Now I definitely believed her about the whole ghost thing, but wait, it gets creepier.

In the morning she asked her dad if he thought their house was haunted and he said that he had seen a ghost in her room a few weeks before.
