From action figure to cartoon to film.
Started in 1964, G.I. Joe is a line of military-themed "action figures" produced by the Hasbro toy company. Originally 11.5" tall, the first line of four action figures that represented the Army, Navy, Air Force and MarinesIn 1982, after a time of waning popularity, the brand was redesigned as a 3 3/4ths scale action figure under the "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" brand. In conjunction with a popular animated cartoon series, the brand was revitalized and found new popularity. Now GI Joe battled the evil Cobra Commander and his army of Blueshirts.
In 2009, the franchise saw its first live-action feature film, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. With new life breathed into the beloved characters of Duke, Hawk, Cobra Commander, Destro, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Scarlett, and Baroness, new fans are being introduced to this fan favorite.

Conrad "Duke" Hauser
Field commander and second-in-command
While in the Army and working as an operative, Conrad Hauser was best friends with Rex Lewis and engaged to Ana Lewis. After Rex was presumed killed during an attack, Conrad abandoned Ana over grief at failing to save her brother.He was in charge of a convoy delivering weapons to the United Nations when it was attacked, and during the attack recognized the Baroness as his former fiancee Ana. Using his knowledge he blackmailed his way onto the GI Joe team. Hauser goes under the code name of Duke.
After being captured in Paris, Duke is interrogated by M.A.R.S Industries owner, James McCullen. Duke learns the awful truth of what really happened to Rex Lewis and tries to stop the wheels in motion.

Snake Eyes
Ninja Master
Homless and orphaned as a child, Snake Eyes snuck into the Arashikage Clan home one night to try and find food. He was caught by Thomas "Storm Shadow" Arashikage and the two fought. Snake Eyes showed incredible skills at a young age, and the clan Master decided he would be adopted into the the Arashikage Clan and trained.Tensions between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow always remained. Storm Shadow resented the attentions and praise Snake Eyes received, eventually turning on the clan Master. After the attack, Snake Eyes took a vow of silence and has never said a word since. He communicates via hand gestures if needed.
Working with the GI Joe operatives, he is the team's ninja expert and martial arts master.

Thomas "Storm Shadow" Arashikage
Ninja bodyguard and assassin
Thomas Arashikage grew up and was trained by the Arashikage Clan. He was raised alongside Snake Eyes and brutally beat him every time they sparred together. When their Master showed Snake Eyes favoritism, Storm Shadow attacked the old man and fled. There has been a grudge between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes ever since.Now working for M.A.R.S. Industries founder James McCullen as an operative, Storm Shadow trained the Baroness and helped launch the attack in Paris. After a fight with Snake Eyes, he is presumed dead.

Rex "The Doctor/Cobra Commander" Lewis
Chief Experimental Doctor for M.A.R.S. Industries
Born Rex Lewis, he was a former team mate of Duke and brother to Ana Lewis. Disfigured in an explosion caused by an attack, he relies on life support equipment. Recovered, Rex became the Doctor and is the chief experimental doctor for M.A.R.S. Industries and developer of advanced nanotechnology. As he launches a diabolical plan to satisfy his thirst for power and revenge, he works with James "Destro" McCullen and becomes Cobra Commander, supreme leader of the Cobra organization. - i found one at amazon.com doesnt have any decals or patches pretty much just a black catsuit, ive been tryin to find a scarlet or baroness one alson

- That GI Joe theme tune will now be banging around in my head all day!!!!!! I just hope the film is better than the cartoon series - but of course it will be!! Nicely presented lens and again you always give some great info intersperesed throughout the lens. SquidAngel Blessings for you.
