Please Say Hello To Me.

I've sequestered myself in my office to finish this lens and I'm lonely.

From the lens How I Became A Giant Squid in 40 Days.

Oh I really enjoyed this lens. You are inspiring me... but will take some catching up!

Just came back to leave an Angel blessing on this lens. It's been one of biggest inspiration I've had on my own journey to becoming Giant Squid. Miss you...

I started in May of this year, but I don't think I'll be making this month's deadline =/
    You never know though =)
Thanks for the inspiration! - I hadn't really considered that it might only take a month-and-a-half to make Giant, given some motivation.

You what??? 4 kids under 13 -- OMG, calgon seriously take me away -- pleeeze! I can't imagine ... but delegate would be key for me. 40 days -- that's pretty remarkable as an achievement. Oh, I can't wait for that 'new' badge you're talkin' about. ;)

Excellent lens (5*) I've been doing this for a few months now and I'm still not a Giant Squid, but maybe in a month or so.

I have become a fan today. What an enormous goal you have set us to follow.
    Your energy is boundless.
Not that you need it you have become one of my treasured resources and so stop five.

I often wondered how others did it. I became a Giant in July as well but I started in March, not May. I am currently working on a lens called The Squidoo Learning Curve. I would like to reference your lens.

Excellent lens...a real inspiration! MUST try harder!
  • RichLeigh Oct 16, 2008 @ 11:41 pm | delete
A very inteteresting lens! I actually joined the website 3 months before you and yet I have less than half as many lenses and have only just reached the $50 payment figure now which you reached with your first pay day! You make me look like such a slacker. :) Great job you're doing here though and it's excellent that you're donating so much money to your chosen charities. Keep up the excellent work and I wish you much continued success for the future!

Let's see if the comments go through this time..This is a great lens, and I congratulate you for becoming a giant so quickly and also for commisserating with me on the forums. 5*.

It took me a bit longer - some 75 days but I made it! Thank you Christie for guiding, encouragement and friendship! You are one of reasons I made it! :)

    A five-star how-to. Thanks.

I'm a bit like you. I have a job, wife, only two kids, but my youngest is only a 9 days old (can you say wiped out). Anyway, while waiting for this baby to come I created 50 lenses in one month. I admit that 25 of them need a lot of work but they are published. Anyway, I like this lens and will give a follow hard worker, 5 out of 5

I've often said I am a better Snail that I am a Squid...I don't recall how long it took me to get 50 but it was probably several months. I'm just now inching up on 100. I'm impressed with your combined speed and quality!
  • spirituality Oct 1, 2008 @ 7:28 am | delete
Looks like we both make it to this one then. I have precisely a 100 lenses now, so I hope ALL of them are up to snuff. I'm sure your collection will be fine though.

Fabulous Lens!! :D You are an inspiration. I lensrolled this to how I became a giant squid. You know, I noticed some very clear simularities and the differences are exceptional things fro me to learn more about. Congrats again and looks like you are ready for September 30th for the 100 club review right? I have three more lenses to finish and a few more to polish off a bit. I believe I will make it. :D

Great lens and a new favorite. I will be happy to have 50 lenses in 6 months! I type in awe of your ability to be so organized with 4 kids. 5*
  • Jewelsofawe Sep 23, 2008 @ 9:42 pm | delete
Wow! 40 days! How did you do that? Very cool. Took me a little longer to try for giant squid, which I am doing right now for Sept. 30th.
  • CosmeticSurgeryIreland Sep 20, 2008 @ 4:52 am | delete
What an incredible achievement. I can't believe you did so much.
I'll nip back to your Quality Control section now and then.

  • ByRoy Sep 17, 2008 @ 5:37 pm | delete
Great inspiration! just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of organisation and dedicated effort. This lens in itself is an interesting read, never mind all the others you have put together.
    Keep up the good work.

I come every now and then here and read this page again... in fact, every time it looks like I need to stretch my time more than possible. And I say to myself, if she could do it with 4 kids, job and household to look after, than I certainly can also... I have only one child for now on! :)
  • audreylai Aug 18, 2008 @ 1:26 am | delete
I can see that you work pretty hard if you manage that in a span of 2 months. I guess the interest must be there because it certainly makes things easier. Congrats and keep going!!
  • jonarablu Aug 17, 2008 @ 3:35 am | delete
This looks like an awesome lense..I need to read it better when I have more time and my eyelids don't need to be held up by toothpics (it's late) hehe..but thank you for providing this info. And thank you for your comments on my two lenses..I have been away from squidoo for a bit so I just now saw them.
  • flowergardener Aug 9, 2008 @ 8:05 pm | delete
Excellent! I'm trying to find out when the first giants were notified by mail to enter the challenge for Giant Squid. I know the deadline was 9-4-07, and we were awarded on 9-19-07. I think the challenge was in July, but I can't find documentation! Anyway, I joined Squidoo June-9-07, I had 30 lenses by the end of June, and made the cut for Giantdom in the next 2 months.
  • spirituality Aug 2, 2008 @ 5:46 am | delete
It really is impressive how fast you got to giant squid - I can't believe it :) And with such quality lenses too...
Thanks for the link to my CSS lens btw.

The good are rewarded (and before getting to heaven!) I chose this lens to feature on my Squidoo Haiku lens, that you generously donated to yourself! You scratch my lens, I scratch yours...
