I cherished a dream of being the first cat to make a Squidoo Giant, Could I create 50 lenses? Could I even manage one?
All physical handicaps aside, the sheer lack of time in the day was a drawback. I'm usually only awake about 5 hours and I like to spend that wakeful period either in eating or in deep philosophical meditation. But I forced myself to remain compos mentis for longer.
I researched thoroughly, painstakingly perusing the current Giants and pawing over the list in the Top 100. I read the LOTD blog. I followed FaceBook pages from Squidoo notables. Above all, I followed my dream. I chased my dream and pounced on it.
And they said it couldn't be done!

My motto has always been Look Upwards!.
This is only natural. Apart from seeking constantly to better myself, it's only common sense to keep your eyes open for the leopard on the bough up ahead. People have forgotten the ways of the jungle.
I kept my feet on the ground too, all four of them. When you have a dream, a driving dream, the possibility exists of putting aside other commitments in pursuit of that dream. I drew up my agenda, made my plans and set aside an hour a day to fulfill my ambition. This allowed me time off for a little light conversation with the woman who feeds me, a patrol of the back garden (with a sharp eye out for snakes) dining al fresco on the patio and much medicinal napping in the shade.
You have to have a plan! With a plan you can achieve your ambition. With a plan you can chase, and catch, your dream. I did!

Often I had to remind myself of my dream. I had to reinforce my focus, spit at fear-of-failure and get back on track. Music always gave me a kick start.

I'm so proud of being the first cat to achieve this accolade.I can now reach out to other cats and indeed all animal companions and encourage them to follow my pawprints along the path to greatness. It's not easy but it;s doable!

I had many wonderful supporters, how can I thank them all?I've chosen these five because of their continuing support - in the high times and in the low times.
I would have thrown in the towel on more than one occasion when the loneliness of the long distance dreamer threatened to weigh me down. But these fine lensmasters always lifted me up to tackle my dream again.
Thanks for all those pats on the head, the tickles under the chin and those warm words of encouragement at 3.00 am!

- Sorry Vladi, thought this was Pearlie's blog. You are amazingly handsome and brilliant, I enjoy all your writing, just having a moment of fibro fog here. I especially liked that stalking in the grass photo, your poise and grace on the hunt are extraordinary. Ari purrs at you too.

- You are an inspiration to cats everywhere! Although Pearlie the Psychic Kitty has focused on different stars, she helps her human to reach her Squidoo goals - when she has time in her heavy meditation and napping schedule

- Taking a break from my own push for Gianthood, I have fought through timeouts to pay my respects to a Giant among Cats, Felis Magnus.
A certain tortie whose name means "Hallowe'en" needs to get cracking. In the meantime, I shall emulate your example.
