Now That I'm A Giant Squid

I am a diverse person with many interests and have lived in many places. I have many experiences both pleasant and unpleasant. I will share these with you. I enjoy crochet and have made many projects to give as gifts. I hope you enjoy learning a little about me.

What is Zazzle? It is an on-demand retailer of customizable products that can be personalized by you. Zazzle offers t-shirts, mugs, hats, mouse pads, greeting cards, invitations, postcards, magnets, key chains, and much, much more.

I have to admit I'm a pretty good cook. I have it on good authority. My daughter, my future son-in-law, his mom, friends, family members, and co-workers. I am frequently asked to make some of my "signature" recipes for gatherings.

My most recent recipe I shared is for my chili. I even won a contest with this recipe.

For those of you that don't know, a lensography is a collection of lenses written by a lensmaster. They usually cover a variety of topics.

Week 1 of the RocketMoms Session 5 Challenge was to write an about me lens. I had previously written my SquidAngel lensography of the lenses I have blessed since becoming an angel, so I had to make a new one.

The Giant Squid Challenge presented the chance to write one of Squidoo's CoBrand Lenses, Hey, MonkeyBrain! This template is a debate/duel format. It's a fun lens to write.

I chose a political platform, since Scott Brown had just won the Massachusetts Senate race for Ted Kennedy's seat. Democrats had held this Senate seat for decades. Now it belongs to a Republican.

Week 2 of RocketMoms Session 5 challenge was to create a niche lens. I have many other gardening lenses, so I wrote about an indoor garden.

There are several types of lenses you can write about people. There is the co-brand template called SquidWho. This is a popular template to write about celebrities. Another pre-made lens is on the Linchpin template. Templates are great and make writing easier. They include some modules you may not have thought of using.

You can show some love for anyone using these 2 great templates or just using a basic Squidoo theme.

Session 5 Rocketmoms Week 3 joined with the Squidoo Music Blog and challenged us to write a music lens. I have 3 other music lenses, 2 are Classic Rock bands and the other is about jazz. For this challenge I chose Country Music and the Country Outlaws.

Shopping lenses are sometimes difficult to make. I don't want to seem too pushy, yet I want to offer a good selection of items and varied prices. Holidays make it a little easier to write shopping lenses. After all, people need to buy gifts for their loved ones. Online shopping has increased in popularity and many people do all their shopping online.
