Gift Idea for Dads - T-Shirts Only a Guy Would Love

I'm...Well, I'm girly. Not full makeup 24/7 girly, but lover of flowers and pretty dresses girly. So, guy humor is not my thing. I have three gross brothers and two equally gross little guys, though, and they are full of ideas for t-shirt sayings I think are downright icky. How is back hair funny? I really want to know. Seriously. Well, maybe I don't.

Anyway, with all these guys leaning over my shoulder and insisting that I just have to make a t-shirt that says...I now have a Zazzle store stocked with...ummm...shall we say less than delightful and flowery t-shirts? Completely G Rated, but just...icky. At least I no longer have to worry about what to get the Dads, brothers and little menfolk in my life for birthdays, Father's Day, etc! All I have to do is hit the order button and I've got the perfect gift.

One of my most prolific idea generators is a smith and has given me several pages of t-shirt requests. I have created a few shirts for him with what I assume are hysterically funny blacksmith sayings on them. ("Don't you get it? We want coal! We love coal! It runs the forge. See?") If you also have someone who likes to bend iron in your family, your gift worries are no more. (Although, with the list of dies, tongs and iron pieces they want, I don't really think finding a gift for a smith is ever really a problem!)

I have to admit, the "Blacksmiths want to be on Santa's naughty list" is my favorite smith humor shirt. "Steel Bender" seems to be the guy favorite so far, though.

Now, these are the things I like. Herons, ducks and other little critters. So much more my speed than gross jokes and whatnot. (Did you know that six month old baby boys already think bodily functions are hysterical and will do belly laughs over them?) If you are looking for a gift for your dad that is nice to look at instead of a gag gift t-shirt that makes girls say, "Ick!" then these things are more your speed.

I made these Chesapeake Bay related items in memory of my grandpa, who would rather be under the Bay Bridge at the 13th piling than anywhere else in the world. He loved to fish and crab and would get such a sparkle in his eyes when he talked about being out on his boat.
