The "gift of kindness" is something special ... something to be shared and never forgotten ... something to install in your heart and pay it forward. Thanks for something meaningful.

The Childrens and Parenting Group that this lens belonged to has survived all the recent changes on Squidoo and is now a Lensography. This lens is now featured at Children and Parenting HQ.

And of course this visit gives me the chance to re-Bless this excellent lens.

It really does make more sense to be kind than to be unkind. I'm adding this as a featured lens on Make Peace Not War - Peace Crafts because teaching kindness and teaching peace in my mind are very much the same lesson.

    5*, and faved as well.

    Peace, Lee

You know when you talked about your 81-year old mother, it made me smile. You see my mother will turn 80 this year -- the other day, she got started on twitter ALL by herself and did a really funny tweet. My mom inspired Momerisms and has now been poking/nudging me each day since she checked out that lens! Ah, aren't mothers cool? Oh, I never really got to know my paternal grandparents that well -- there was a bit of a language barrier -- and we didn't spend much time with them. This I regret today!

I was supposed to be somewhere else 15 minutes ago, but after one last check of twitdeck, Achim called attention to a masterpiece. I knew better, for experience told me that if he called it a masterpiece it would be special... and I would be late! It is very special... and I am late, but that's OK. Your lenses, that I've read, all leave an appealing legacy... called "something of value!" Like good books, they are treasures we can revisit and be welcomed back on your porch like an old friend! I haven't read them all yet, but I will! You have a wonderful gift Bonnie and I appreciate that you are sharing it with all of us. 5 bright stars and a big favorite!

It's a sad fact that a few people forget we are all human, and that we are all in need of a kind, gentle pat on the soul at some point.

This was beautiful and a reaffirmation of sorts.
    Thank You!

I'm glad I found this page, life is filled with sweet moments but sometimes we get so busy and focused on what is next that we forget to stop and notice them. Watching an elderly man help his wife into a car, his hand placed gently on the small of her back. Watching a child run into their parents arms. The way my dog greets me when I've been gone, full of wiggles and gratitude that I came home to her.

Life is full of love. May yours always be.

Love never fails! - This lens is about love and kindness, love that music by Chris Tomlin! - It is plain to see that you have a heart of gold and seedplanter is a good name for you with what you do with lenses. - Acts of kindness go a long ways, no matter if they are big or small. - We need more lenses like this!

My heart is still heavy because of the Black Friday death of a human being trampled by shoppers. - I wonder how the people feel about them self, that know they were caught up in the madness that cost so much more...

I had a similar experience this summer to your man with the pink blanket. I met this sweet elderly man as we were both brining clothing to a local charity, his car was jammed full. As we talked, he told how he'd lost the love of his life several months earlier and that now he'd only been able to go through her things with the help of some ladies from his church. This step was amplifying his grief and I got to be the stranger sent along side to list his arms a little. I just now remember how his voice cracked in such loss as he said, "I don't know what I'm going to do". We never know the full impact of a word or act of kindess. I also enjoyed your Gift of Honesty lens but was unble to leave a guest book message as a non-member. Tipi is my sister and I noticed you in her fan club and Squidooed over and will stop by another day. Thank you!

What a sweet message. Thank you for reminding what really is important: love and kindness.

There is nothing like an act of kindness from a stranger to bring happiness to a lonely soul.

This is a beautiful lens. The content is not what I originally envisaged when I put together the Children and Parenting Group. However, this is all about "life lessons", which are important for us to embrace and pass on to our children. I am starting up a new section in the group so I have somewhere to feature this Lens - welcome to the a>

I wish there were more sites on the Internet like this. Places to go when one begins to lose faith in humanity. Maybe kindness is not as uncommon as I think, maybe it's just unadvertised. Thanks for giving kindness some well deserved "air time".
  • BigGirlBlue Dec 23, 2008 @ 5:23 pm | delete
Kindness is really such an easy thing to give another human being. Finding kindness with no strings attached, now that seems to be hard.

    I love your office makeover!
