What can I get her??!?

It should always be a pleasure choosing a gift for a woman, whether it be your wife, girlfriend, mother etc. You consider what she already has, her likes and interests, how much she means to you and all of her other characteristics. After you've done that, the gift idea will just pop into your head and off you go and buy it.

I wish!!

For the 90% of us that struggle coming up with the perfect gift for her, here are a few suggestions.

Spa-related Gifts

The perfect spa-related gift is a spa gift certificate. She can choose where and when she goes and can add any extras she might want. You can make it extra-special by giving it in a gift basket.

If she doesn't like going to the spa, there are lots of other spa-related things you could get her. A personal massager can help to melt away the cares of the day. A heat-sensitive sleep mask is a great way of relaxing. Something personal like a robe or even a nice blanket make great gifts.

Photo Gifts

Whilst men tend to prefer tinkering with the technology, women tend to prefer enjoying the output from a camera. (Although I bet she's like one of these camers!) Nowadays, there are lots of ways to enjoy photographs.

A digital photoframe (or even a keychain) enables her to enjoy the many photos one has with a digital camera.

Another option is to transfer the image into a photobook, or even onto canvas, ensuring the memories last for a long time.

Flowers

Flowers are a lovely gift that are sometimes interpretted as being a last-minute gift. In order to dispel the notion and make it a more lasting gift, consider these options.

Get a nice vase! (Or, if you're already getting a nice vase, get flowers to put in it!) A vase makes the flowers extra special and makes the gift last longer.

A lot of women spend time gardening; whether it be on a huge spread or a simple window box.

For the outdoor garden, a bird house or wind chime makes a great gift. There are also more practical gifts such as gardeners tool sets.

People tend to think of gift cards as a cop-out. However, for those men that are really hard to buy for, a card for a store they always use will be very much appreciated. Another way to show you have thought about the gift is to suggest what they can buy with it. They may not use your suggestions, but they will appreciate the gift more.
