Gifts from Mother Earth-Crystals

The information on quartz crystals is unbelievable. So I am going to just barely touch the edge of it. I wanted to share this one bit of information with everyone. Many moons ago, when my healing crystals started coming to me, everyone I use, shot a rainbow of color out to me. I am telling you this because I believe that each one of us that work with crystals will have different ways of knowing which crystals we are suppose to work with. One my friends (who is a healer) told me that her crystls will appear very warm to her, that is how she knew which crystals were suppose to be used for healing in her practice.

The quartz crystal can be used to amplify both body energy and thoughts. It is said that they can bring the energy of the stars into the soul.

The quartz crystal can both harmonize and align human energies-thoughts, consciousness, emotions with the energies of the universe and to make these greater energies available to humanity.

You can use a quartz to clear and to activate the energy centers of the body. It attunes well to the heart chakra and responds very well at the third-eye chakra.

The quartz provides purification of the physcial, mental and spiritual bodies. It is a healer of negativity. It can also further enhance the flow of, and can direct, ones positive thoughts and feelings.

I have always been told that since quartz amplifies energies, it is best not to work with them if you have a sickness or a headache. I remember many moons ago, I went to a fair and someone was selling quartz crystals. I could hear this soft voice calling to me, so I walked all the way across the fairgrounds and found the booth that was selling some of the most beautiful quartz, I have ever seen. There was one that caught my energy and it would not let it go.

The lady selling it told me that this crystal was very powerful and that one day...but not that day, I would learn to work with it. So this day, I have not worked with it...but it has been with me on my journey every step of the way.

Quartz is used magickally for protection, healing and power. I always suggestion to cleanse your quartz in salt and mugwort water.

The rose quartz emits a calming, cooling energy which can work on all of the chakra to remove negativity and to reinstate the loving gentle forces of self-love.

This is a great stone to use for spiritual attunement and it provides balancing of yin-yang energies. Rose quartz is a good stone to use when relating to the emotional body, balancing the love emotions and rejuvenating the physical and emotional body.

I have worked a good deal with rose quartz. Not only is it a beautiful stone, but it truly does have the best calming energy. In a little while, I am going to post a ritual I wrote using rose quartz for a self-love ceramony.

Tonics or elixirs are also made using specific crystals and stones to heal the body. These "mineral waters" contain the essence of the energy of the crystalline form from which the water is then fortified.
I have always worked New Moon to New Moon...I also only use distilled water or Spring water. I start by cleansing the stone I am going to be using. In this case it will be the rose quartz. Although, I believe firmly in using natural rough rose quartz...I have found from experience that sometimes my infused water had grits of dirt in it, so I started using polished rose quartz stones to avoid the grit experience!
I usually soak my rose quartz in some sea salt water with some "lavender oil" in it, the night before the New Moon. I allow the stone to soak over night...asking the sea salt and the lavender to cleanse and bless the rose quartz. But cleanse your stone the way you normally would. Because following your own intuition is the best formula.
The first day of the New Moon, I get a jar and fill it with distilled water and place the rose quartz inside it (Be sure to rinse the stone off good from cleansing it. If you have never tasted lavender, trust you don't want to.) Place a lid on the jar filled with water and the rose quartz.
I personally like to sit my jar outside for three days-after the three days, I bring it back into the house and set it away from light for two weeks, until the first night of the Full Moon. And there you have water infused with the rose quartz energy.
Use the water sparingly. If you make you a cup of rose tea, add about one teaspoon of the rose quartz water to enhance its effect, if you make bread or actually any cooking that requires water, you can use a small amount of this infused water to get the effects of the rose quartz.
Be sure to research the stone you are going to be infusing. Certain stones contain things that could be harmful to your body. As an example: You would not use Pyrite (aka Fool's Gold) because it is poisonous because of the sulfur content, Cuprit, Dioptase, Gem Silica all contain copper, again poisonous.
A good rule to remember is: avoid making any elixir or massage oil with any crystals that contain any kind of metal: lead, copper, etc.

Mookaite jasper, also known as mookite, mookalite, mookerite, moakite, moukalite and moukaite. However, mookaite is considered the correct spelling and is named after the local area it comes from, Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction which is about 100 miles inland from the coastal town of Carnarvon in Western Australia.

Mookaite is a stone of the "here and now." It can help one balance the internal and external and acceptance of change. It helps with living meditation. Mookaite is a very protective stone, and is particulary good as an emotional protector. In the physical realm it stabilizes health and fortifies the immune system. Mookaite is associated with the lower chakras

Mookaite encourages within us, the desire for variety and new experiences. It makes thoughts more flexible and enhances decision making. It also helps us to recognize that there could be several possibilities for the outcome of any issue, and helps choose the best solution to that issue. It also embraces and celebrates new circumstances and helps us when dealing with negative situations. Mookaite helps us to be kind to others, and also, quite importantly, helps us to be kind to ourselves too.

Cindy, my friend who gave me my mookaite said that is a stone of regeneration and healing. It provides a strong shield against danger and helps the healer process and deal with negative energy. It has a powerful effect on the blood and kidneys. She also told me that Mookaite has been used as Shaman Stones.

This stone works really well for the Astrological Signs of Gemini, Aries, Libra and Leo.

Some cultures refer to this stone as the Merchant Stone. Place a piece of citrine by your cash box, most importantly it helps you to keep the frame of mind of wealth.

Citrine has always been good for balancing the yin-yang energy and for aligning the Chakras. It is also a great stone to clear the aura and align the auic body with the physical structure.

It also can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger and to encourage one to look toward the sunrise, the freshness of beginnings and the reality of excellence.

I have read that a citrine never needs clearing or cleansing. This stone does not hold and accumulate negative energy, but dissipates and transmutes it. There is only one other stone that has this ability.

Citrine is a variety of quartz and its color ranges from yellow to golden brown to burnt amber.

Root: Garnet, ruby, red jasper, smoky quartz and red calcite
Belly (Sacral): Carnelian, orange calcite and moonstone
Solar Plexus : Citrine, topaz, pyrite, yellow or gold calcite
Heart : Rose quartz, emerald, aventurine, malachite, tourmaline and green calcite
Throat : Blue lace agate, turquoise, lapis, azurite and blue calcite
Brow : Amethyst, purple fluorite, lepidolite and sugalite
Crown: Clear quartz, opal and diamond
Place one of the stones on an area and place your hand over it, begin applying Reiki.

Crystal Grids are used to magnify Reiki energies for healing. The crystals are arranged in a geometric structure to direct energy inward or outward. A popular shape is the Six Point Star. This is associated with integration, balance, and the heart chakra.

You can send continuous Reiki Energy to a recipient by making a Reiki Crystal Grid. In a regular Reiki session your time is limited; however a Reiki Crystal Grid can be used with distant healing or in person. When using a Grid the energy can continue to be sent even when the other person is off doing other things.

How To Make a Reiki Crystal Grid

Use six quartz crystal points that have been cleansed and charged. From my own personal experience, the size of the crystal point is not as important as making sure it is well cleansed. Place the crystal points on a hard surface where they can remain still and not be moved. Arrange them with the points, pointing inward towards the middle of the circle.

In the center of the crystal grid place a picture or a small personal item of the person you are healing. You can even write their name on a piece of paper and place that in the middle. Take a moment and center yourself, call in your Reiki Guide and speak your affirmation that this healing will be done for the highest good.

Moving clockwise begin to activate each crystal point. You do this by pointing at each crystal point and saying "Activate!" You would do this three times, next place the Reiki over the top of the crystal grid; making sure to focus on the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen
