I think giving someone a gift with an entrepreneurial theme is marvelous, it tells the recipient that you know their decision is a valid option. It shows support for their decision which could be seen by others as 'pie in the sky' or 'just another whim'. To know that others support you is a fantastic feeling. These gifts will be ones that will be remembered not just for the gift itself but for the fact that you believed in their ability to start a business.

This is possibly the best book I have read about becoming successful. He lays it on the line, his ups and downs. You may think that entrepreneurs are just lucky. They aren't, they work hard to make it successful. Of course they have failures but the difference is they get back up, they learn from their mistakes and do it again but better.
This books not only discusses his business life but also his personal life as well as his charity work.
When my young adult children came to visit, they stood in front of my bookcase deciding on which book to read. They both chose this one and each of them thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a true rags to riches story.

To be honest with you, I nearly threw this book away after reading the first chapter. Why you might ask. What Mr Gerber was saying flew in the face of everything I believed as an American. I believe that America gives everyone the opportunity to become whatever he/she wants and rewards hard work. It is the entrepreneurial spirit that drives businesses and historically is nurtured and promoted in America. The author said it is all a myth and goes on to explain why.
How many times have you been at work and thought, "I could run this place better than my boss"? You aren't alone, most people think that. The fact of the matter is you may be able to for a short time but it isn't just the technician who makes the business work but also the manager, and the entrepreneur. The business owner needs to wear all of these hats if a small business is going to succeed and possibly grow.
He examines what Ray Kroc, of McDonalds fame, did and how he developed a system that could be easily duplicated. The franchise.
This book is very readable and not over-stuffed with numbers. It explains the hows and whys some businesses succeed and others fail.

I love this and listen to it frequently. If you don't believe that listening to a hypnosis CD will work I say, "give it a try. I was skeptical when I started out." The idea that you can just relax and have suggestions placed in your mind scared me. In fact I listened to the CD whilst busying myself in the kitchen just to be sure nothing untoward was going to happen. After I dispelled this fear, I just put my headphones on and relax for 30 minutes.
We all have the fear of failure and sometimes this can be all consuming not allowing us to move forward with things in our life like starting a business. This CD and book help you realize that these are irrational fears that are holding you back from becoming the person you can be.
