Unforgettable Gifts for the Person Who Has Everything

Ranked #12,215 in Sports & Recreation, #294,241 overall

This year, Make a Memory with an Unforgettable Gift to Person who already has Everything

Here's a great list of gifts to give to those people who already have everything they want, or, whose tastes are fussier than yours and who are likely to return the gift that you do give them.

[I mean, let's face, for some people, even if I hand-made them a king-sized quilt with a 1000 little pieces, they'd say it was the wrong color, or something.]

What's THE ANSWER?

GIVE the gift of an EXPERIENCE!

Yes, you can donate to a charitable cause in that person's name, but obviously that doesn't work for you or else you wouldn't be here, reading this. ;) (However, if that idea does appeal to you, I've listed a few good ones below.)

But, AN EXPERIENCE is a memory that your friend, sister, brother or parents will cherish and revisit (and thus, "use" again and again) for years to come.

Boston Red Sox Tickets

Our favorite wedding gift was from my sister - 4 tickets to a baseball game (@ Yankee stadium). We revisit that memory all the time. Yes, we still use the goblets, the plaques still hang on our wall, and the cash came in handy. But that EXPERIENCE - that memory - that "family bonding" - was "PRICELESS"!

The Gift of a Shared Experience . . . "Priceless"

Hmmm, a tie, a coffee mug, or THIS EXPERIENCE for Christmas?

C'mon, you can't tell me that your Red-Sox-Nation-loved-ones wouldn't love to be here - and remember it & thank you for it - for the rest of their lives!

Okay, we'll give "You-Know-Who-from-You-Know-Where" a video too - just to be fair

Geesh, you'd think with 20+ World Series Championships they'd get tired of seeing the same old win, win, win, all the time! But, hey, I guess if the Yankees weren't around, it wouldn't be such a great feeling when the Red Sox do win.

NY Yankee Tickets

Okay, okay, I come from a blended family of Red Sox fans & well, fans of THAT OTHER TEAM. And, I live in the state next to THAT OTHER TEAM's state. And, I believe that THAT OTHER TEAM is one reason why the Red Sox get better and better every year (remember kids: if you want to improve your game, always practice with kids who are better than you!).

(Oh, and BTW, these tickets will be in the NEW Yankee Stadium.)

Anyway, here they are - (but if the Red Sox are in the playoffs AGAIN this year, and the Yankees aren't, don't say I didn't tell you so, because you could've given your loved one tickets to see the Red Sox Nation!) -

Harlem Globetrotters

No one does basketball like the Harlem Globetrotters! Talk about memories - my memories of seeing the Globetrotters are over 20 years old, and it's still awesome!

What a great show for your whole family! And, your friend or your loved one will tell you for YEARS what a wonderful time they had THANKS TO YOU at the Globetrotters.

Christmas Gifts - Both sides of the story

What sort of Christmas gift would you rather get?
What sort of Christmas gift would you rather give?
What sort lasts longer?
What sort is "priceless"?
(okay, so they're loaded questions, but hey, I'm a lawyer, I'm allowed to do that - it's called "leading.")

Would you rather get a Gift or an Experience for Christmas?

An Experience gift for Christmas

Hmmm, I could say, but I would also be biased ;)

A "thing" gift for Christmas

LA Lakers Tickets

Not to be bias to my favorite team (did I mention that I'm a Red Sox fan) or my favorite live sport - let's give the Lakers some "court time." (Don't worry Boston fans, the Celtics are listed below, although I miss the Bird.)

Golf experiences

I know, just LIVING in California is an experience. But, these are tickets to heightened experiences within the California experience. Very existential - or, just plain fun - whatever you're into, man :)

A different type of "Experience" Christmas Gift

Okay, so let's say, this just isn't the year for giving tickets to a sporting event or swimming with dolphins or a rock concert, but you still want a cool Christmas gift that will have a longer lasting impact on your loved-one's life than just a 1 week "how cool is this" stint.

Well, here's your inexpensive, but long-lasting joy, solution - and one that they can call you about and discuss with you (aka "bonding") for at least a year!

Very cool (aka as "wicked cool" in RI) magazine subscriptions.

BTW, feel free to add your favorites (just make sure to tell us why you love giving/receiving/reading it!).

No Coffee Table Books Allowed!

"Coffee Table Books" should be banned from Christmas gift giving. No one opens them after Christmas Day.

So, if the closest thing to a "Priceless" Experience sort of gift that you can give is a book, then go for it - but make it a gift about an Experience. Maybe it'll motivate them to do (or keep doing) cool activities!

No Wii allowed!

Your loved ones only have one life to live with you.

Make sure they at least have a shot at living it in real time with you (instead of virtually with an image).

Here's a few books on some activities they (& you, or their OTHER favorite relatives/friends) will enjoy.
