Oh the adventures my brothers and I would have with our toys! Tammy and GI Joes always saved the day. A wonderful toy with such wonderfully detailed accessories make it a favorite doll for collectors today.
The well designed toy was just about boy-proof. Dirt crawls, mud baths, hanging from ropes on the bushes and crashing to the ground - Action, Adventure, and Excitement are three reasons that make GI Joe an American Hero.

There are 2 most distinguishable factors, I would say, (1) it comes with accessories, like weapons or other gargets, (2) it has articulated body (hands, legs, torso etc.) for you to pose and play with. If G.I.Joe has a non-articulated body, then that particular G.I.Joe could NOT be called an ?action figure?, but just a ?figure?. Does it make sense to you guys? :-p

- Here in the UK GI Joe is called Action Man. When I was kid I used to read DC comics and see adverts for him before he was sold in the UK and was really jealous of American kids who had such great toys. He arrived in the UK at a similar time to the Johnny Seven One Man Army toy gun which your readers might like to visit my lens on?

- I have many 12" G.I.Joe action figures and then came Action Man later on! I have so much fun to play with them!
I espically like to collect those black man figures!
