Gilmore Girls Video Showcase

Gilmore Girls first season started on October 5th, 2000 on the WB network. The two main characters were 32 two year old Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham, and her 16 year old daughter Rory, played by Alexis Bledel.

When the show began I was 24 years old. I was 8 years older than Rory and 8 years younger than Lorelai but I could relate to both of them. I was hooked on the show instantly and watched intently every season.

The show ended after 7 seasons which was too soon for Gilmore fans. Take a walk down memory lane and remember some great moments with this Gilmore Girls Video Showcase. Watch highlights from all of the Gilmore Girls Seasons.

A Gilmore Girls Movie?

What do you think?

Amy Sherman-Palladino would love to bring back the Gilmore Girls in a two-hour TV movie to tie up all the loose ends. She needs help convincing Peter Roth, the President of Warner Brothers Television. You can help. Get the details here.

Do you think there should be a Gilmore Girls Reunion Movie?

Yes!! We need closure!

ForeverGilmore says:

I need closure. I know so many people who are still diehard fans after five years of Gilmorelessness. Many of these people continue to watch re-runs, hoping that it will continue on forever. I will always love Gilmore Girls, there's no doubt that the movie wouldn't succeed.
No matter how many years go by, I will never object to the TV movie. The other day my dad took my Gilmore Girls DVDs to Goodwill, I need a movie.
I grew up with this show and every time I remember the ending it hurts. I still watch reruns wherever I can get them, because I never get tired of them. I love Gilmore Girls, always have always will. So please make a movie.

Same person as before (comment back to me if you see this) says:

It's never too late! Please, if the people who can make it happen are reading this or if you know them or can do something about it please let them know, I am so upset with the last 2 seasons and things got messed up so it's time to FIX it!!!! Luke & Lorelai's marriage, Rory's life, Sookie's unborn baby, Lane's children, Luke's sister, just MANY things csn happen with plot, you guys wrote so many stories already that are amazing it can happen again! a 2 hour movie is all the fans ask for just please let us know if it's possible because I have been egaring a lot of news that it IS possible so PLEASE!!! LET US KNOW! We do need closure with a movie, Luke and Lorelai were just not fully together, we saw them kiss but thats not getting back together! WE NEED MORE! I'm just SOOOOO Desperate!!!!!!!! IT IS NOT TOO LATE AND SOME OF THE CAST WOULD LIKE IT! I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS SO MUCH!!!! I WOULD CONVINCE THE ACTORS AND DIRECTORS AND EVERYONE MYSELF IF I HAD THE CHANCE! It's a once in a lifetime thing, just ONE movie it wont hurt, fans need closure, especially me im going crazy! I REALLY REALLY REALLYYY want a movie!!! D=

Rachna says:

Yes, there should definitely be a movie because fans want to know about Luke and Lorelai and if they really got married because Lorelai almost got married twice and we do need closure and we want to know about Lane's children and more about Rory and just a lot of things that were missed in the last episode. Especially about Luke and Lorelai because they were the perfect couple and I want to have closure and be happy because the lat episode was sweet but it was a little loose and felt unfinished. I love Gilmore Girls so much, a movie would be AMAZING!

Trish says:

YES!,YES!,YES!,YES!,.....need I say more?.....YES!!!!!!!!!

Crystal_Booth says:

I would love to see a reunion movie and tie of a few loose ends! For instance - Did Luke and Lorelai get married?

No...It's time to move on folks.

spirituality says:

What could possibly be in there? I love the show, but it had to end: every possible storyline had been dealt with, I think. I mean, really: how many ways can Lorelai quarrel with her parents? And she's finally with Luke to stay.

Do you miss this show as much as I do?

Love, love, love Gilmore Girls! I prefer the earlier series to the later ones, I think it peaked in series 4 and then the last three series were ok, but lacking a lot of the originality and quirkiness of the earlier ones. Thanks for making this great lens (I've squidliked it!) and for putting on the Youtube videos :)

Oh my!! I LOVE this show! I don't have cable, so I can't see it every day on ABC Family either. I just have to watch the DVD seasons that I have (not even in order). I miss it so much!! My son loves the opening song. Glad I can find it here!

Gilmore Girls was one of my favorite shows and I miss it terribly. The ABC Family network reruns the whole series in order and I was finally able to see (most of) everything I missed. Thank for a great lens!
