Coloring Pages Downloads - How To Make Your Own Coloring Pages With GIMP

THE DOWNLOADS HAVE BEEN FIXED BY SPLITING THE SET UP BETWEEN FOUR SEPARATE ZIP FOLDERS. There are more but, it will be a few days before I create more files to add here.
To download GOColor as a zip file, place your pointer on the images (BELOW) ONE AT A TIME, then Right-Click your mouse, and select either Save Link or Save Target As depending on your browser.
Right Click on This Link and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" depending on your browerHow You Can Use Coloring Pages and How To Make Your Own
* Open any image on your PC by selecting 'Edit With GIMP' (or open Gimp and click on File->Open->browse
* In your image dialog select Filters->Artistic->PhotoCopy
A new dialog will open "Photo Copy Dialog". You can see the Preview of your image. If you like what you see... continue to next step.
* Click OK on the PhotoCopy Dialog.
The wizard will now create a coloring page of your image. Once completed, you can see what your coloring page will look like. If you like it, move on to the next step. (If you do not like it... click on the Edit tab and then Undo Photo Copy - your image will return to what it looked like previously.)
* SAVE AS (select a name for your coloring page, select the folder you want it to be saved in, and select the file type (.jpg for example).
Now you have a saved coloring page. :D
Wasn't that FUN?
Well... The FUN is just beginning. Now you get to COLOR it or...
Ways To Use Coloring Pages
In addition to actually coloring (or using pc software to color them in). You can also use the feature to create exceptional gifts.
Gift Ideas
Thinking about gift ideas...
A Crafter would love to receive a shirt-tote-or Apron, and a set of acrylic paints (If you can not find FABRIC PAINT - don't forget the 'Textile Medium' which is mixed with the regular acrylic paint, so the shirt will be washable after painting).

AVITARS
Make your own avitar by using a photo of yourself, edit with GIMP, Use the Artistic-PhotoCopy feature and then RECOLORIZE the photo using GIMP colors (use paint brush or bucket fill). Now you have your very own Avitar. ">
GIMP Interface Tutorial
GIMP 2.3 Tutorial - The User Interface
NOTE: This is somewhat outdated with the release of GIMP 2.6 This video explains the user interface of the GIMP. The goal of the tutorial is to make you understand how the user interface works, so that you can explore GIMP without being hindered by the user interface. Excuse my abuse of the word 'and'. At 2:48 when I say 'layers', I mean 'dialogs'. The sentence should read: "This is where I usually grab my dialogs." == Tutorial FAQ == Q: I only have one window :( What's wrong? A: By default GIMP is configured to save window positions on exit. If you only get one window when you start GIMP, that's what the saved window configuration is. You can reset this to default by going to 'File / Preferences / Window Management' and clicking the 'Reset Saved Window Positions to Default Values' button. Here you can also disable that GIMP should save window configuration on exit, as well as save current window configuration. This way you can make sure that GIMP will always start with a specific window configuration independant of the window configuration you had when you closed GIMP. == Technical/Misc information == The video was created with recordMyDesktop and MEncoder, recorded on the Ubuntu linux distribution (version 6.10) And yeah, unfortunately the sound quality sucks, but I don't feel like a re-recording. Feel free to spread the video in YouTube-embedded format as much as you like.

Mosaic-The Step by Step Lesson begins Here
This lesson will explore Basic GIMP, Color Selection, Lettering, and Painting with the Eraser Tool
GIMP Tools
When you open GIMP this is the primary tool selection dialog
Select FILE to get started
When you click on FILE a drop down menu will list what you can do from here.
Click on NEW and a Create a New Image dialog will open
Here you can select the size of your new image background.
Select: 250 Width 250 Height Pixels
Then click OK
My Lens Photos (uploaded to introduction module and on Text/Write modules are generally 250x250 pixels.
A Banner for a lens seems to work out well when kept 500 pixel width or less.
A Banner for a Group Headquarters header banner is two part. The topper (I call it that) is uploaded and is going to be about 350x75 pixels (depending on the design), so that it will peek over the top of your hosted banner.
The Group Headquarters banner is 750x175 pixels, yet I think it might work better a bit smaller - Here is an example at the Holiday Shopping Cooperative Group
Now back to the Tools Selection dock
Select the BUCKET by clicking on it.
Now select the Color you would like to use.
Double click on the current color to open the color selection dialog.
Move your mouse over to your Untitled Image and see where the arrow is hovering.
Left click to drop your selected color onto the Untitled image.
Select the Letter A from the Tools Selection dialog
Be sure to double click the A if the Tool OPTIONS dialog is not already open.
Select Font and Font Color, Size, and alignment from the Tool Options dialog
Hover your mouse over the Untitled image and start typing.
From the GIMP Tools Selection dialog select the CROSS looking tool.
This tool will allow you to move layers, reposition them, or drag them off the edge.
First click on the BACKGROUND layer on the Layer Dialog...
Then Click on the Eraser from the GIMP Tool Selection dock and erase some of the background as shown below.
Now return to the GIMP Tool Selection dialog and click on the Bucket again.
Double click on the current color and choose another color. (I picked Red on this step).
Using the BUCKET tool and selecting different colors for different sections on the drawing...
I Now have THIS.
Now Look at the Menu on your Untitled Image
On the FAR RIGHT find and Click on FILTERS
From the Drop Down Menu that appears when you clicked on FILTERS
Hover Your Mouse over DISTORTS - (see new menu show up?) Then drag your mouse down to MOSAIC
You will have another dialog window open.
For this design we will use defaults so this time you will simply click on OK and watch your image take on a whole new look.
This is What I Got...
I Like it, but, I think the lettering is a bit light so I am going to change it in the next step.
From Your LAYERS dialog box hover on the Text Layer with your mouse. Right Click and drag your mouse to the Top of the new menu
Double Click on the A in the GIMP TOOL Selection dialog Then change anything you want. I changed the color to white.

How To Use an RSS Feed To Update Content on a Lens
This lens will show you an easy way to update content on your lens by using the RSS Feed module. You can update multiple lenses all with one blog post. Great for content that will be changing (such as the YEAR 2008 in your CopyRight sections will change to 2009 soon for example).
Remember: This kind of update will not be detected by Squidoo's Check list for lens rank. So it should not be used as a replacement for freshening up a lens.
