Directions for Preparing Fish
Step by Step Instructions for Ginger Ale Fish Recipe
4 halibut filets, 8 oz each
1 can ginger ale
Salt and black pepper
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Cornstarch, for coating
Instructions
Heat a deep fryer to 365 degrees F.
Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt and pepper.
Add the ginger ale and stir just until combined.
Do not over-mix.
Coat the halibut in cornstarch and then dip it in batter.
Let any excess batter drain away, then slowly and carefully dip the fish into the hot oil.
Fry until golden and crispy and fish is cooked through - this takes about 8 to 10 minutes.
