I don't know if they make these new anymore, but they used to make some in O scale and HO scale.
There is a giraffe with it's head sticking out, and when it got to the tell tales it would duck down. Tell tales are metal strips that hung down a certain distance away from station letting the driver know that it's time for him to slow down.

Giraffe cars are often the prize possession in a train collection.

Just search Giraffe car on eBay and around the internet to find one.

There is also a super rare aquarium car, which lights up inside and a picture of fish rotate as the car moves down the track.

Amazingly many types of auto carriers come in hobby trains. You can fill up these auto carriers with your favorite cars. More modern auto carriers than this old Tyco can be found. Bachmann make a great auto carrier with 3 levels full of cars.

With an auto carrier in your collection yo can buy a bunch of your favorite autos and pretend they are being delived to you.

Hot Tip!

In the Hotwheels section of Walmart they carry HO scale cars, really nice ones. They are usually on the shelf in small boxes and have 1:87 scale on them. You can find modern cars and SUVs. Once they sell some they get in new models, so check every so often.

There are lots of operating handcars, where the 2 guys move the handle up and down.

I have seen some HO scale handcars, by Bachmann and some O scale handcars by Lionel and Marx.

When you search the internet for one, be sure they are in great working condition. An older one may be hard to get parts for. The little arms and heads fall off so easily.
