There are not enough self-proclaimed girl geeks in the world. Maybe we should have a pagent or something. Guys geeks have all the heros, Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Heder, Curtis Armstrong, Will Ferrell, Bill Gates. Well I am here to change that. This lens is dedicated to all the girl geeks out there. I am proud to say that I wear glasses, not contacts. I love computers, Star Wars, Sci-Fi,  electronic gadgets and Napoleon Dynamite. So onto the girl geek stuff!

Top Movie & TV Girl Geeks that Rock!

You may be wondering why I am listing real actresses and not their Geeky charaters. Well I think that these women truly identify with their innner and outer girl geek selves simply by choosing girl geek roles. Go Girl Geeks!
Michelle Meyrink
Michelle Meyrink is the real Queen of the 1980's geeks. Starring in such great movies as Real Genius, Revenge of the Nerds and Valley Girl she shows us how to be a really cool girl geek.
Sarah Jessica Parker
For all of you born after 1980 let me fill you in that Sarah Jessica Parker had a geek girl life before Sex in the City. She was the Queen geek on Square Pegs a very, very cool show. Google it!
Rachael Ray
I love Rachael Ray. She is such a modern girl geek. Totally natural and funny she gives us a fresh and funny look into cooking and her new show is totally fantabulous.
Tina Majorino
Tina Majorino is the super-cool girl geek in Napoleon Dynamite. This lanyard making, side pony tail wearing, white stirrup pant woman is definitely a top 10 girl geek.
America Ferrera
Otherwise known as Ugly Betty, America Ferrera is TV's hottest girl geek right now.
Daphne Zuniga
Daphne Zuniga gets a girl geek nod for her hilarious role as Alison Bradbury in "The Sure Thing" She was smart, funny and geeky, but in the end she got the ever so popualar party boy John Cusask.
Ione Skye
Ione Skye for her role in "Say anything..." Diane Court was the smartest girl in school, drove a Ford Tempo and dressed like her grandma, but in the end got super-cool John Cusack. Am I detecting a pattern here? Does John Cusack like girl geeks or what?
Velma Dinkley
Velma Dinkley is our coolest cartoon girl geek and she is way smarter then Daphne so there! Did you know that she could read Chinese?
Molly Shannon
Molly Shannon is one of my favorite SNL alums. She is a real Superstar Girl Geek!
Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore gets a nod for her super cool roles in Never Been Kissed and Music and Lyrics. Go Drew!
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen gets a Girl Geek vote for her awesome wardrobe. Thank God there is another woman who actually appreciates Converse All Stars. Plus her dancing is over-the-top fantastic!
Alyson Hannigan
The band geek from American Pie not only wooed her boy geek, but did it with style and humor.
Molly Ringwald
Molly showed us that turing 16 can be a blast even if you give your panties to a geek. Molly also gets a Girl Geek nod for staying true to herself as Andie Walsh in Pretty in Pink.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Anyone who can dance like Elaine Benes gets 2 girl geek thumbs up!
Eve Plumb
Jan Brady was the ultimate 1970's geek. The negelected middle child with the bad wig and fake boyfriend deserves our love!
