Girl Is Poison: Handmade Vintage Inspired Clothing

Limited Edition and one of a kind clothing made with love...

Hi there! So you want to know about me? Well I'm a music loving, cat obsessed, bookworm with a penchant for vintage clothes and learning new languages. I have a "visual sweet tooth" and love all things feminine and cute. But I do have a darker side and am the type of girl who will wear a vintage dolly dress with a pair of silver studded heels. What can I say? I'm a fan of juxtaposition. I am also a big supporter of indie business. I buy everything I can from clothing to soap handmade.

I started sewing 6 (or 7?) years ago after being inspired by some very talented designers in the indie fashion community. I started selling my clothes on ebay in 2002 under the name Lux Dilemma and built a small customer base there. But then I lost most of it this year when I decided to move to Etsy.com after I found out that ebay allows the sale of live animals on thier overseas sites. (Click here to learn more.)

I have no formal training. I learned to sew through trial and error and with the help of online tutorials and vintage sewing patterns. Now my clothes are well (dare I say professionally?) made and will outlast anything you buy in a store. I'm a Virgo so, by nature, I'm a perfectionist. I have high standards for my work and will never send a customer an item that doesn't meet them. Ever since I started sewing I knew that it was the only thing I ever wanted to do. I take great pride in my work. So much so that sometimes it's hard to let go of it. So give it a good home will ya?

About "Rebates, Discounts and More"

My Power Mall

How it works.

It almost sounds too good to be true right? So why did I sign up?

1-It was free to sign up. I was curious and wanted to see if it would work. Usually that's not enough for me to try something like this, but since they weren't asking for money or anything like that I thought I'd check it out more thoroughly.

2-I'd be saving money on things I buy anyway and two of my favorite stores were listed there: fabric.com and mothernature.com. I spend so much at those it is definitely cool that now I get to have 7% of that money back. Most of the stores offer 7% back, some less some more.

3-A portion of thier profits go to various charities. After signing up I saw that they highly encourage members to support a charity and set up a separate account for the particular group they want to suppport. I plan on doing this as soon as I pick a group to help.

So now I'm a member and I can vouch for the authenticity. Scams are pretty easy to spot because you are asked for money, or a credit card or bank acct. #. With this I didn't have to give out any of that info. In fact all they needed was my address to send the commissions to and I gave them my P.O. box.

I didn't jump right into it since I was busy reading the info and seeing how everything works, but now I plan on doing some promoting. The truth is with this you do have to put effort into it for it to work. No one will find the site if you don't tell anyone about it. And I can happily say that I've already started making money (well rebates so far) on it. It's only a few dollars right now, but the more people you get to sign up under you the more you make. So please sign up under me! Pretty please?

There are over 1000 stores listed and a lot of them are places you probably shop at anyway like: Target, Best Buy and PetsMart. Even cafepress.com and drugstore.com are part of the program. It's easy to sign up for one yourself.
