Three reasons to love Girls Aloud
For us girls whats not to love about them. Firstly I love their music and have purchased each and everyone of their albums. Secondly I love their style, and find myself copying some of their looks. Last but not least I love the way they show GIRL POWER!! Lets hear it for the GIRLS! As for the male pointview I am sure they have many admirers!
Girls Aloud at a Glance
Girls Aloud are a UK girl group that were created on the ITV1 talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group, consisting of singers Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have been successful in achieving a string of 20 consecutive UK Top 10 singles (including four number ones and four number twos, also 15 top 5 singles), two UK number one albums,all albums are certified platinum and having been nominated for four BRIT Awards, winning Best Single in 2009 for "The Promise".
Girls Aloud have become one of the few UK reality television acts to achieve continued success, amassing a fortune of £25 million by May 2009.The Times - The 10 richest reality TV stars, 31 May 2009 Guinness World Records lists them as "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in the 2007 edition. They also hold the record for "Most Consecutive Top Ten Entries in the UK by a Female Group" in the 2008 edition. The band have been working with Xenomania, who produce all of their material, since the start of their careers. The group has sold ten million records worldwide.
In 2009, it was announced that Girls Aloud would partake in a year-long hiatus to pursue solo projects, but would reunite for a new studio album in 2010.

Cheryl Cole
Cheryl Cole (born Tweedy)The bonny Geordie lass used to be a waitress in Newcastle's city centre before appearing on the TV show Popstars the Rivals. She was set for stardom since an early age and won several beauty competitions such as Boots bonniest baby, and Best looking girl in Newcastle amongst others. She also previously appeared in TV advertisements and has just recently been signed up as judge on the popular UK television show X-Factor, where she will sit on a panel with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue and judge other hopeful popstars. As for solo projects she has lent her vocals to will.i.am's heartbreaker track in May of this year.
She is also a member of the WAGs, since she hooked up with England and Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole. They got married at a posh ceremony in July 2006 after the World Cup. However things have not been running so smoothly lately after a few kiss and tells were sold to the local newsapapers about Ashley's infidelity.
The future looks bright for Cheryl's career but I am not so sure about her marriage.
Nadine Coyle
The 23 year old Derry born girl was selected in 2001 for the girlband Six when she won the Irish version of Popstars. She later had to withdraw from the band as she was only 14, and the requirement age was 18. This didnt put Nadine off and a year later she entered Popstars the Rivals and made a fantastic impact on Louis Walsh and the British public.She is seen as a sex symbol and has made the top 100 in FHM's sexiest females for six years in a row. She is a constant source of media attention and previously dated the gorgeous Jesse Metcalfe from Desperate Housewives.
She currently resides in America and rumour as it she is establishing herself over there and trying to get a solo career.
Sarah Harding
The former Miss England, worked for the promotions team of two night clubs before entering the music contest. Since then her career has soared and there has been as much interest in her musical talents as well as her famous boyfriends!!She is also a model and received a massive £100 000 to model the Ultimo underwear range! She has had some minor roles in films too and was the face of Coke-cola zero.
Things seem to be improving for Sarah and it looks as if she cannot put a foot wrong at the minute.
Kimberley Walsh
The Yorkshire girl is not the only famous one in her household as her older sister appeared in Emmerdale for three years. She has had previous TV experience starring in an ASDA advertisement as well as some educational programmes. She previously auditioned for Coronation Street.She is currently dating a singer, Triple 8 star Justin Scott. She is not in the media as much as some of the other girls.
Nicola Roberts
The youngest member of the group, the quiet Scouse girl has just ended another relationship! However she will be busy promoting her new make up range Dainty Doll Group Members
