My Inspiration For This Lens...
This lens is dedicated to my Grandma Lida, not because she was a weird girl, but because of her wonderful sense of humor. On every visit to her house that I can remember, when it was time to say goodbye she would think of any reason to keep us longer just as we were walking out the door. She always resorted to opening her hutch drawer and pulling out a very old commercial brochure from her longtime insurance company. The brochure was filled with vintage, black and white photos of kids that had silly captions about insurance featured in conversation bubbles on each photo. For some reason she loved sharing those silly captions with us as she grew older. When she moved to a nursing home last year I found that old brochure a pile that was destined for the recycling bin and it is now a treasured reminder of Grandma's laugh and the inspiration for this lens.
