A realistic girls vampire costume and makeup require some instructions. A vampire can move about in the world of the living even through they are not of this world.

You want an otherworldly look, you come from another world that is beyond the understanding of most people.

There are several places you can be found - a grand old house, a castle or a ruined tower. There is a secret or a curse from the past that is being hidden from you.

You must find out what this dark secret or family curse is in order to free yourself and live in the sunshine again.

You, the vampire, have been keeping out of sunlight. So you want to create the illusion that you are pale. You are going for a natural look not that you have a lot of white makeup covering your face.

If you have a dark skin tone don't use too much white. A makeup base that is two or three shades lighter than your skin tone will work best.

A vampire's skin tone is ashen and on the grayish side. To create this skin tone you'll need to mix a small amount of gray and green into a large amount of white greasepaint.

You are going for a subtle, natural look - so be careful when adding the gray and green. It only takes a very small amount of color to change the white. Go slowly and test often.

Once you have the base shade that you want cover all exposed skin area - face, neck, ears.

Apply lightly, gray greasepaint under the cheek bones and in the indented part of your temples.

Blend the gray greasepaint into a light shadow, use a medium size blending brush.

The eyes and the eyebrows are very important to the look of a vampire. Apply black or dark gray greasepaint around your eye - close to the upper and lower eyelashes. Also in the hollow of your eyelid.

The darkest shade will be near your eyelashes and in the center of your eye. The shade will gradually get lighter as the color leaves the center of the eye.

Blend the black/dark gray greasepaint into the rest of your skin. You don't want any sharp noticeably difference.

You are going from very dark to light - right into your skin tone. A small eye shadow brush will help with the blending.

Hide the natural line of your eyebrows with the makeup base. Start at the eyebrow point nearest your eye using a sharp black eyebrow pencil.

Follow the natural line until you reach the center of your eyebrow. If you look straight into a mirror this will be above the black pupil in your iris.

Make a high upward, slanted and pointed arch. Apply a light dusting of face power to set the greasepaint.

I would go for a more natural and subtle look as explained above for most of the costumes. The darker application would look good with the titled "Girls Gothic Black Vampire Costume" or the "Girls Ravager Costume". It just depends on the look you want.
