Girls Hat Knitting Pattern
Knit a bonnet style hat for girls in sizes 4 and 6. The hat has a turnback with pattern knit in and a buttoned chin strap. Knit the hat in three pieces, back, side piece and turn back.

Hats are for all Occasions
Hats are used for many purposes. Toques, helmets, stocking caps are used ot keep your head warm during cold weather.. Toques can be pulled down or folded up; helmets have flaps to keep the ears warm, and stocking caps can be wrapped around the neck as a scarf.
In the summer, hats are used to shade your head and face. Summer bonnets have wide brims; ball caps have a brim at the front.
Hats are also an accessory to complement an outfit, Hats used for this purpose do not have to be warm or used for any practical purpose. Boys wear fedoras or caps; girls wear bonnets. They can be lacey, textured, in multi colours, pastels or bright colours, to match or complement an outfit. Some are part of a set of hat, gloves or mitts, scarf and bag.
