Get to know a little about me, my website, and why I call myself GirlShrink!
Now and then I run across people who have heard of GirlShrink around the web, but have no idea who or what GirlShrink is. So I thought I would briefly explain who I am and what I do on the web--you know, just in case you were interested:)
GirlShrink - The Therapist
My Quick Bio...

She is also the author of "Relationship 911! Seven Steps for Saving Your Relationship" and has created a free relationship course for people ready to stand up for their relationships and save them!
Lisa also co-authored the book "101 Ways To Improve Your Life - Vol.2" along with John Gray, Jack Canfield, Richard Carlson, & Bob Proctor, & many other experts.
Lisa is also the Depression Editor at the online community for women--Bellaonline.com, where she has been writing passionately about depression and other mental health issues since 2004.
GirlShrink - The Woman
I thought about creating GirlShrink after staying home with my first daughter Autumn. Not that she wasn't a gem - she was:) But I knew that I wanted to attempt to have a more "Balanced Life" which included work and motherhood. Somehow I knew that that wouldn't include getting up and going to "the city" everyday while my baby stayed home with a nanny. Not for me.
That's when I decided to combine my passion for writing and psychotherapy and outlined my first plan for GirlShrink.com - which has since evolved:)
My favorite things to do are writing, reading, listening to my ipod, going out to eat, watching movies, traveling, hanging out with my family, and yapping on the phone with my girlfriends.
My favorite things are fall ("the season"- hence the firstborn's name is Autumn:), the beach, designer handbags (I have a problem:), precious stone jewelry (like turquoise or topaz), and classic rock.
Things I don't like include the color blue, liars, the price of gas, and replica handbags. Yuck!

What to watch when your REAL relationship falls flat!
There is nothing like watching a great romance when your own relationship leaves something to be desired. I've done it a million times and have always felt inspired afterwards. So instead of reaching for the Haggen-Dazs, sit back and pop in a movie. It's better for the hips:)

Self-Improvement Reading
It's important that you supplement your self-growth with reading. You can always learn something new from a book, and I like to read a few chapters before bed to relax. Take a look and pick something that sounds interesting...
