Gita Gutawa admitted indebted to late Chrisye. Because of the legendary singer, Gita so have the motivation to become a singer. According to the daughter of composer Erwin Gutawa, she became interested in the world of singing from watching a concert of the deceased Chrisye when she was a child.

"I want to thank to Uncle Chrisye for giving me motivation. I started to fall in love with music as frequently asked by Father to see Uncle Chrisye concert, "said Gita Gutawa through video recordings at the press Chrisye 2012 concert, Kidung Abadi, in Pisa Cafe, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Gita Gutawa has interesting experience along with that solo singer who's had a full name is Christian Rahadi (Chrisye). Gita will not forget when she first sang in front of thousands of people.

"When the concert 'Decade', at that time I was 10 years old, uncle Chrisye approaching me. That's when I first made a sound in front of thousands of people in Plenarry Hall. That was a very memorable experience for me and I will never forget", she explained.
