    Hi Peeerson (what a lot of 'e's!) Monet painted what he saw. The bridge is in the water garden he created - which he was very proud of. The bridge also reminded Monet of the bridges in the Japanese prints which he liked so much. You can read lots of material about all of this in the above links to other sites - I suggest you get reading!
