- Wonderful information, 5 stars! A good way to support your favorite charity is through cause marketing. Make personal purchases through non profits that partner with corporations. That way you will get what you need and help your charity at the same time. Perhaps you can donate more often this way.

- If you can't or don't want to donate money, you can also volunteer your time,online, in your own home.
There are many online volunteering,or virtual volunteering sites. My favorite is the UN online volunteering site. This site lists many non profits and ngo's that need online volunteers to do things like make up project proposals, or do research, translations,etc. All which can be done anywhere with a computer and internet access. - Chuck - That's one of the nicest things about Squidoo - they make it easy for us to give. We can just pick a charity and go for it...You could even do a theme - dog training lens=animal charity, how to plant a tree lens=environmental charity.
