Do Not Give Zantac To Infants For Acid Reflux

If your baby is 6 weeks old with GERD, and your doctor precribed Zantac, you may concern about any possible side effect. You may wonder if Zantac is a common prescription for infants diagnosed with reflux. Your concern are quite valid. I can tell you that giving Zantac to infants for Acid Reflux or GERD is a big mistake.

Even though Zantac is the most commonly used prescriptions for infants with reflux - it had been rejected for this use by the FDA. Zantac is a strong drug. It has brought relief to many babies. It is well tolerated by most children and infants. Headaches, sometimes severe, are the most commonly reported side effects in those old enough to describe them. And if you use Zantac for babies with GERD very often, a very serious side effects, heart rhythm abnormalities, can be caused.

Two years ago, my baby was only 18 weeks old when my pediatrician put him on Zantac for reflux. I was very uncomfortable using prescription meds at such a young age, but as a single mother, I also did not want my son to suffer so much. I was worried about what the long term side effects on his little system might be. Soon after, thanks to my family doctor, I discovered Colic Calm and decided to try it even though I initially considered it a long shot.

Thankfully, the result was good. It helped him dry burp instead of wet burp. He can pass gas without pain. It worked within a few minutes and helped him sleep much better. Moreover, its all natural, so I don't have to worry about side effects or long term complications from giving prescription drugs. Now, I am able to take my son off Zantac. I am so grateful that I found a natural and safe solution to heal my baby from GERD.

Other GERD product - Refluxamine User Reviews

syrup zantac gastroesophageal, infant acid reflux and pepsid and zantac

"I've had GERD for several years, underwent endoscopy and started on Prevacid, later switched to Prilosec. About 2 months ago I noticed my esophagus was scratchy feeling and burping frequently so upped my Prilosec to one at risetime and one at bedtime and also 2 Pepcid AC at bedtime with no improvement. Decided to try Refluxamine despite hoky ads. Been on it one week and am now off Prilosec and Pepcid AC completely with no burning, scratchiness or any other GERD symptoms. Burping has all but disappeared. After only one week I'm impressed. I've tried other things before and then tried to go off my GERD meds with no luck at all after about 3 days so this is not just suggestibility. Still don't know what will happen next as my trial with Refluxamine is still very early, but for now I've got to say Refluxamine really lives up to its hype."

One thing I like about Refluxamine is that it only took a few days to see a positive result of starting on the product. Also, since Refluxamine is made with all-natural ingredients and no harmful steroids, fillers, or chemicals, it is pretty safe to take on a regular basis, according to my physician. As first I am afraid my blood pressure will rise since Refluxamine contains Licorice, but my physician assured that it will not affect my blood pressure to abnormal level.
