Who is Glen Brink

Glen Brink is a successful MLMer (multi-level) Network Marketer. SixFigureIncome and other worldwide MLM publications have interviewed and analyzed him. Glen Arthur's specialty is with direct-mail. He has had major success in both marketing fields independently (MLM and Direct Mail.)

GlenBrink.com, Mr Brink's personal home page, was developed simply to organize his website links for the various business and personal resources he used building his career. Glen still recommends these resources to entrepreneurs today.

More recently, Glen-Brink.com was created to collect the various Internet resources Glen uses and recommends for mass marketing on the Internet. SharingProfitStrategies.com, his primary business site is a highly successful affiliate website (manned and Live 24/7) offering Internet resources to Internet marketers world wide. Sharing Profit Strategies was developed by Mr Brink's long time associate, Dr Jeffrey Lant with WorldProfit.com.

Many of Glen's activities are detailed on his blogs and in Squidoo's collection of free webpage "Lenses." Also included there is Mr Brink's advice on Direct Mail-Order Marketing.

This is the story of -- How he did it:

Glen Arthur Brink was born in Boulder, Colorado in March of 1944. Glen Brink's father, Glen Abner Brink, born of Swedish and Norwegian immigrants, left his Minnesota farm (home) to join the Army during WWII. Glen Abner then started his own service business for Automotive radio repair. Later he was hired by the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) headquartered in Boulder. Glen Abner, "The Swede" was liked famously by his friends and family. He died at an early age from a service related illness.

Glen Brink's mother, Alice O'Dell, (another native Boulder resident of Scotch-Irish descent) met his father at a USO event in Boulder. The three traveled slightly with the Army and then settled in Boulder. Alice left her work to raise the family rounded out by Carol Brink born in 1948, Glen Brink's strong little sister, now Carol Bernal. Their happy family history is recorded in the Boulder Public Library archives. In the 50's children could safely walk to school and all around the small University town (Boulder was near 30,000 pop.) So when the kids were raised, Alice went back to work. When she was widowed, she supported the family and later retired from the Telephone company. Now healthy and active, Alice has many activities including her great and great-great grandchildren.

Glen Brink grew up playing the violin along with many sports and games. He lettered in Football and Basketball at Boulder High school and went on to the University of Colorado on an engineering scholarship. Glen Brink graduated with honors in 1967 from a five year BS degree program. He had worked his way thru school with various jobs including a work-study program at NBS.

During his Presidency at the Delta Upsilon social fraternity Glen Brink met Jude Brost, his soon to be 1st wife. Jude was a world travelled Army brat who would only date students-of-law and guys with future potential. Jude left school in 1966 and took a job in the popular skiing resort town of Aspen, Colorado. Before Christmas Jude called Glen to ask him to come to Aspen because she had to stay there to work and was lonely on her first Christmas alone. Financed by Bernard Brost (her father)'s credit card, Glen made the drive to Aspen and consolled Jude. Which resulted in a conscious conception early Christmas morning, quietly not disturbing Jude's roommate sleeping in a nearby bunk bed.

"We married to keep Holly Francesca Brink 'honest.' Although, Holly never got to know Glen Brink because of Jude's postnatal depression (yet to be named.) Days after the birth, we had an insane fight we were both too young to understand." Neither Jude, nor the society, nor her (Army nurse) mother knew about this condition yet. Jude filed for divorce and turned Glen into the Draft Board. Pulling her family's strings, Glen was immediately drafted into the wartime Army. Even before the divorce was final, which would have ended his draft deferment as a working father. Glen postponed the induction until after the divorce decree by enlisting in the Army with an entry into Officer Candidate School.

Returning from the unpopular Vietnam war, Glen Brink struggled with the meaning of a life that had taken his father and his daughter and his belief in the system -- seeing no justice and no explanation. He worked in various tasks including cook, manager and "semi-professional" gambler in Contract Bridge. With his mother's encouragement he got back on track using his veteran's benefits to return to graduate school where he ran across Paul Twitchell's writings on Eckankar.

Armed with his MS degree in the new field of Computer Science, he found work at CIBAR, a small and exclusive software consulting firm in Colorado Springs. Then Glen took an experimental IQ test published in Wired magazine and was invited into the Triple-9 society and other Hi IQ clubs for those scoring over three standard deviations above the average (1 in 1,000). These societies kept his mind active until he was presented by a career choice.

Glen Brink had worked his way up to the top-position of "Consultant" at CIBAR. In the 70's, before personal computers and the Internet, there were two branches of advancement in Software development. He was asked to choose between becoming a computer language "systems engineer" or he could branch out into Sales and Marketing to relieve the "income ceiling."

Glen felt more like a systems engineer, but didn't like the idea of a limited income. So, he looked into part-time home businesses to prevent the stagnation of his future income potential. As a result of this experimenting he went full time (too soon) into his own direct mail marketing business. He actually pioneered the complex field of Multi-Level Mail Oder "MLMO" marketing and publishing the first industry catalog "The Radiant Expression." Even today few people are successful in both Multi Level and Direct Mail at the same time -- fewer than all the rosy promisses seem to offer. Just like the disparity between the un-ending hype of false promisses on the Internet and the actual successes. Glen attributes his success to persistance and learning from the school of Hard-Knocks.

Unlike Jude, Glen Brink tried an uneventful 2nd marriage to Gloria Jean Savage -- a resident artist and Eckist in Colorado Springs. The H-K school of finance included loosing his income, his home and his 2nd wife.

During the darkest days of the H-K school a magazine ad first introduced the Avatar Course. "This state-of-the-art self improvement course became the light at the end of the tunnel I was traveling." Assuming the goal of entering the Avatar Course, Glen took on three additional part-time jobs and worked his business during rare spare time moments. That same year, he had the greatest business success he had experienced and worked his way out of debt and into the course. Humbly keeping his "dead end" part-time jobs so as not to repeat the "too soon" career change experience.

Near the beginning of the Avatar course at Star's Edge R&D, Harry Palmer developed two additional advanced courses. Thanks to this timing Glen could proceed on to those unexpected (and out of his previous self-image kind of interests) -- the "Masters" and "Wizards" courses. The Avatar Course is a complete stand alone "personal consciousness evolution" system. The advanced courses apply that personal ability to specific tasks: A Master is one who can share the Avatar experience. A Wizard is one who works towards an "enlightened planetary civilization." This is Glen Brink's truly satisfying transformation "from emotional rags to spiritual riches."

Glen says, "Avatar provides the ability to continue on the roller-coaster ride of life." Glen Brink went on to even greater success in business -- with plans for more to follow. Glen most enjoys helping others create the future that they desire.

Mr. Brink's business career had several informative and historical milestones. Glen was introduced to MLM by his mother who loved the Amway laundry detergent. She said, "You should take a look at something that may be important out there, it's called Amway. You may or may not be interested, but some people are doing very well with it. The business is not for me, but I know they have the best laundry detergent around." Amway sales supplemented Glen's income during his school years.

Following the Army, Glen had a successful career in computer software development. Then he started working for himself in Mail Order.

Glen's first major success, years later, was with a hot new whey based drink product which was a milk substitute. The sales grew so dramatically that the management couldn't handle the volume of business. This debacle at Meadow Fresh Farms was never explained or corrected but was a huge clarification in the minds of the distributors that the MLM industry is a complex one. Depending on more than truth and justice.

This topic was further highlighted when Amway was forced to defend itself in court against the federal government. Never believe that governmental officials trying to make a career for them-selves will know or even do the right thing. Abuse of power and authority is largely a matter of degree and is happening all around us. But thousands of lives later, and at huge expense - Amway beat the government and became "legal."

Glen Brink's first million dollar success with MLM was with a hot new Vitalizer product that increased gas mileage, improved engine efficiency and reduced emissions. It was never explained how this company turned out to be a fad that eventually died out, rather than becoming a world changing industry. Although, many have long suspected that oil industry interests would use any means to prevent anything like this from continuing to eat into their profits.

Next, Glen worked his way onto the Millionaires team at Herbalife. He reasoned that working with a long established company would provide a safer haven for his career than an untested new company. In spite of the worthiness of a new product or the unproven future potential involved - keeping food on the table deserved some consideration.

This was years after, the government had attacked Herbalife at millions of dollars of expense and years of investigation. After Herbalife had won their case against the overzealous regulators who drove away millions of dollars in business due to the doubt they created in the public's mind by their unjustified persecution of the company. They would not have survived if their international sales had not supported them through this trial.

This does illustrate why some patriots had been willing to devote their lives and their sacred honors to establish a new government. One wonders whether the next great upheaval will be religious or political. Humans are much more dangerous than we were taught in the 50's.

Anyway, Glen's time with Herbalife was smooth and satisfying. Highlighted by his re-acquaintance with Kay Black-Clark from his high school days and his first of many awarded cruise trips (as a winner of the Herbalife Caribbean cruise.) Glen and Kay slowly developed a business relationship which blossomed into a committed relationship.

Kay had quite a story of personal challenges and growth in her life and was an experienced professional in sales. Glen's interest in science and the mind made them good complements to each other. They became successful business associates during his next venture where Glen introduced Kay to edible algae by saying, "you've got to eat this stuff, even if I have to pay for it." And Kay continues earning from it today (luckily under new management.)

Glen earned millions of dollars selling this Super Blue Green Algae before the company owners proved corrupt while bankrupting their company. The product is primarily protein and comes from the bottom (or beginning) of the food chain; because algae feed directly on minerals and sunlight. Believed to be a unique food re-discovered during a period demanding a solution to global hunger - the distributors were true believers. And there were miraculous health testimonials from this "light food seeming to come almost directly from god."

During his short career with this established company, Glen became the 15th leading earner (while 7 of those above him were participating in commissions from Glen's distributorship, including the first 3 top earners.)

While there were internal rumors of the owner's faults, the case was not made public until they drove Glen Brink out of their company. In a provably bogus case, contrived by the company, Glen's independent contractor distributorship was taken from him. Lawyers and government officials could not help him even though this was a loss of his only means of support. Talk about loosing a job. How does it fare for a company when a $15 an hour clerk can "fire" a top sales leader? Needless to say, they were doomed.

The saving grace was that this huge example proved to the Cell Tech distributor force that they were at the mercy of irrational tyrants - and they stopped basing their careers on a future with that company. Almost every other leader went out to work with another competitive company in order to survive. And many of them were later thrown out of the company as well. So watch out for spotted leopards in company management.

While the world was experiencing dangers from religions "true believers," the MLM community was also learning that these people constitute a real and present danger. It has been stated that MLM is the world's strongest self development program.

Forced once more to "start all over again," Mr. Brink rose to the occasion. He quickly moved through the ranks to become the 4th leading earner -- and eventually 2nd place while earning a million dollars as part of the RBCLifeSciences' Millionaires Team.

RBC, another established company, was founded by Clinton Howard who was instrumental in developing the Aloe Vera industry. He also showed the ability to locate and market other new breakthrough health products.

One day the health industry will discover that preventive medicine is the only answer. The pharmaceutical industry is every bit as dangerous to us as the other powerful examples mentioned above proved themselves to be.

Luckily for Glen, Kay Clark continued to work with him in this new distributorship, and in many other adventures. Glen Brink is now busily investigating the Internet opportunity environment.
