Climate Change Facts
Global warming
Global warming also has multiple effects on our planet and we all should know some of the catastrophic effects it can have on our planet including glaciers melting and sea levels rising, these effects can also create a multiple number of negative effects themselves. In the past century global sea levels have risen between 10 and 25cm, creating a global problem and this global problem is growing. As scientist predicts Earths average temperature will keep growing for at least another 100 years. Levels could rise between 15 and 95cm in the year 2100 and they could keep rising for another 400 years plus flooding vast amounts of land in water including major cities and small countries.
Scientific Background
Man-made pollution
The impact global warming is having on our planet can easily be linked to the way we humans live. We are expelling huge amounts of greenhouse gases on a daily basis. It was not many centuries ago when we did not pollute the atmosphere with machinery and so in fact it is not very surprising that global warming is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. Many of us look on and believe that Earth is not changing; however this could not be further from the truth as we are actually only at the start of the global warming process and I can assure you it will be a big problem in the future.Greenhouse gases come from lots of different sources. Some of the gases are man-made and some are natural. The greenhouse gases that are man-made i.e. made by humans are mainly caused by:
- Land use change and forestry, which makes up 24% of gases made by humans
- Transportation, which makes up 17% of the gases made by humans
- Other fuel combustions also take up another 10% of gases made by humans
- Industrial processes, which only makes up 3% of gases made by humans
- Electricity and heat, which makes up a large sum of our pollution at 32%
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have been and are continuously reporting how global warming is a man-made problem and there studies do in fact create a positive correlation between global warming and humans.
The large impact that we can have on our planet in just a short period of time should be enough to kick-start many of us into trying to live greener more healthy lives. Global warming will have a big negative impact on future generations if we do not change the way global warming is increasing and the future generations could even include your children or grandchildren. With global warming around the corner we should try and reduce the amount of pollution we generate. If we all start to reduce our pollution output the global warming levels should be reduced to a much safer level and then the chaotic problems that we will face in the future because of global warming are likely to be decreased.

Encyclopedia of Global Warming and Climate Change (3 Volume Set)
This is a very amazing book which describes in a very good quality and a large amount of detail all about globlal warming and climate change. After reading this you will be an exspert on the matter and know all the current facts and studies of global warming in detail. If u are realy interested in climate change and global warming then this book is definately the best book at the current time. The book is also not a hard reading book either, unlike many others that i have read about the subject.

Polar bears
The reality today is that many animals are becoming more and more extinct as a result of climate change. Here is a picture of two polar bears. They both need to travel vast distances to avoid the melting ice. They are just about able to do this, however they also need to stop to feed and sleep. This is the sad reality and this is why they are becoming extinct with many other animals.

Global warming- Caused by the Nature
- Volcano eruptions
-Water vapour caused from Evaporation (mainly from oceans) and Respiration
- Animals creating methane
- The El NiƱo (warming the ocean water near the pacific equator)
Nature does play a very big role in causing global warming and in fact causes more of it than us humans do. The #1 biggest contributor to global warming is in fact water vapour and this is 99.99% natural. Volcanoes can also emit an extremely high amount of pollution and can cause a huge amount of destruction. This is why lots people including scientists believe that this is just a natural process that cannot be stopped and will happen no matter what.

Could we be doing more to try and help stop or slow down the global warming process?

Even with a chance of slowing down global warming, we should be trying to reduce our carbon footprint.

Prediction
I believe that global warming is a natural event that will happen with or without us, however we have and are contributing to the global warming and speeding up the process and that we will not change enough to make enough of an impact to stop global warming until be actually start to see some global disasters that have been caused by global warming, then we will change, however it will probably be too late. All we can do now is try our hardiest to reduce global warming by reducing pollution and hoping for the best.
