Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (born: April 5, 1947), 14th and current president of the Philippines. She is the country's second female president, and the daughter of former President Diosdado Macapagal.
Biography:: President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo
President Arroyo was born Maria Gloria Macaraeg Macapagal to politician Diosdado Macapagal and her wife, Evangelina Macaraeg Macapagal. She attended Assumption Convent for her elementary and high school education, graduating valedictorian in 1964. Arroyo then studied for two years at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. where she was a classmate of future United States President Bill Clinton and achieved consistent Dean's list status. She then earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Assumption College, graduating magna cum laude in 1968.
Macapagal-Arroyo joined the Philippine government in 1986 as Undersecretary of Trade and Industry. During her tenure in the Senate, she authored 55 laws on economic and social reform and was named outstanding Senator several times. When she was elected Vice President, she was appointed as concurrent Secretary of Social Welfare and Development, a post she held until her resignation from the Cabinet on 12 October 2000.The President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, holds many records. Elected as Senator during her first try in politics in 1992, she was re-elected Senator in 1995 with nearly 16 million votes, the highest number of votes in Philippine history at that time. She was elected Vice President of the Philippines in 1998 with almost 13 million votes, the largest mandate in the history of presidential or vice presidential elections. She was sworn in as the 14th President of the Philippines on 20 January 2001 by Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. after the Supreme Court unanimously declared the position of President vacant, the second woman to be swept into the Presidency by a peaceful People Power revolution (EDSA II). In 2004 she won the Presidential elections for a fresh mandate, winning with one million votes over her closest opponent.

ur eXcellency if mayb by chance u read dis message... please note that, we are merely people but we know what is right and wrong and I hope as a fellow Filipino u 2 will also recognize the value of "honestY" because more importantly FilipiNo's are now in a very awkward and bad position we really try to strive 4ward, but I guess, our efforts are useless since we still do not receive what is rightfully ours in the first place... We to have aches and sorrows and Just like you we pass by our problems, But PLEASE Mrs. Presidente do not thnk of us as a powerless and coward group because even "a wounded crow can fly again" we know we are right and we fight for WHAT IS RIGHT-
