Need Some Help Finding A Good Gluten Free Cookbook?
The traditional almond cookies I have pictured here are called Brutti Ma Buoni, which means "ugly but good".
The recipe came from an Italian Cookbook: Marcella Hazan's Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking. It isn't a gluten free cookbook, but has some wonderful gluten free recipes that are traditional.
There are cookbooks from all cultures that have some really good gluten free diet recipes. If you're really into gluten free cooking, you don't want to miss all the foods from around the world that are already gluten free!
So I've listed some of my favorite traditional cookbooks too. Be sure to check them out...
Gluten Free Cookbooks: My Favorites
Definitely worth having around...
There are recipes of all kinds: flourless, grain free cakes and cakes with grains like rice and corn. Almond flour recipes and nut-free recipes. Chocolate, orange, lemon, almond, cinnamon: all the mouth-watering flavors, and a cultural culinary tour of many traditions.
Full disclosure: This is my favorite because it's the book I wished I had, so I wrote it. After 25 years of collecting traditional gluten free cake recipes from around the world, I put them together so you could enjoy them too. I hope you'll check it out!

- I'd like to try a gluten-free diet and this is such a useful resource. Gluten free Italian food looks like a book I'd like to get hold of. I'd also like to try almond flour. Lensrolling to my basmati rice lens. :)
